My Rocket Mortgage agent was very shady during our transactions. I told him several times from the beginning I didn't want to have a hard inquiry for a pre-approval as I was just shopping around lenders to get the best deal. He did 6 hard inquiries on my credit and my husband's, damaging our credit score. When I found out and confronted him he said Rocket changed a button on his interface that was doing a hard inquiry instead of a soft pull, allegedly, without his knowledge. I would stay away from Rocket at all costs, don't trust them, I am glad I did not follow through my mortgage with them. I also asked him to remove the hard inquiry from my credit report and he told me he couldn't, I wish they would at least remove the inquiry, but they could not even do that.Review from Kelsey O

I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent interaction with Rocket Mortgage, specifically concerning my consultation with ***** J ***** (NMLS#*******). My husband and I are first-time homebuyers exploring mortgage options. We were initially attracted to Rocket Mortgage after seeing advertisements for 2-3% down payment options. Upon using your chat feature, we were connected with *** *****, who informed us that we would actually need a minimum 11% down payment and concluded that he could not assist us due to our current financial situation. What concerns me is the significant discrepancy between the advertised down payment options and the information we received. Furthermore, within 30 minutes of this interaction, we were able to begin the approval process with another lender. Additionally, three separate Rocket Mortgage representatives followed up regarding our experience, and each expressed surprise upon hearing about our interaction.This disconnect between your marketing, *** ******* assessment, and your other representatives' reactions suggests a potential need for better alignment in your customer service approach and marketing communications.I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it will help improve the experience for future customers seeking to navigate the home-buying process with Rocket Mortgage.Regards,****** *.Review from Klay R

They purchased my mortgage from the original lender. They called me about additional services. I was not interested and asked to be placed on their do not call list. I continue to get calls, and I request each time to be put on the do not call list. Each time, they agree to do so. I continue to get calls.Review from James A

Web site says get easy quote on interest rates. You give your info and get connected with someone who will not give you and info until you give a credit check and more info. Dishonest advertising at best..Review from quentin m

STAY AWAY! This company is nothing but a scam and will play games for months. Nothing they say is real, they are only after your private information. After months of dealing with them, after playing their games, we are no closer now than we were when we started. You would have better luck giving your business to the online ***************. Be prepared to be berated and insulted when they cold call you and you tell them you aren't interested.

Rocket Mortgage's loan agent ***** ******** engaged in a bait-and-switch tactic with my ******* September, after agreeing to specific terms with *****, I committed to close my mortgage deal with him. I was assured that my rate was finalized, but ***** never locked it in. As my closing date approached, I was hit with an unexpected 0.75% rate increase, along with a reduced credit for fees. When I asked ***** to at least lower the rate by 0.25%, he instead added a 0.25% discount point **at my expense**.Rocket Mortgage Response

We were initially sold on a refinance of our brand new manufactured home in the mountains that we just purchased for cash. We gave our $500 good faith deposit, submitted countless documents to prove that we actually paid cash, and near the time to close were told they made a mistake and we didnt qualify because we hadnt owned the home for 12 months. We were told the $500 was not refundable but we did get an appraisal for the money. I explained that if we couldnt get the loan the appraisal was useless. I was then told it was good for six months, but again it is useless if I have to wait 12 months to get a loan. If I was looking for another loan I would stay far away from Rocket Mortgage. Use a local broker that will be honest from the start.Rocket Mortgage Response

Rocket Mortgage is a freaking horror story. We are month in and still being jerked around. They dinged your credit several times, make you jump through hoops sending tons of paper over and over. Had me remove my husband from several of my accounts with the promise " after this we can rock and roll". Original agent we were working up and is out of the office and apparently no one can access her files so we had to send some documents again. Did I mention they ding your credit over and over!!!!! Now the original agent is now working but she is working on our file off line. Promise to call us twice and canceled each time because after all of this they can't give us the loan. Two weeks ago we were good to go. Never again!!! Stay far away! Wish I could give them -0Rocket Mortgage Response
