Zero stars. *** makes **************** look super stellar from my experience. Their customer service representatives may as well be bots. They're useless and not trained to think, analyze, nor provide solutions. They are only trained to screen every call and read what's on the screen. That's their pathetic job. It doesn't matter if it's inaccurate; there's nothing their customer call center is equipped to do, and any escalations are sent into a rabbit hole with no return.For almost a year now, their portal has been off, inaccurate, and misleading. Of course, the customer service representatives are seeing the exact same thing, so it's a cycle of errors, misinforming customers, refusing multiple payments, inaccurate credit reporting, incorrect calculations, and improper placement of funds, along with accruing interest. Most people get exhausted and walk away from *** exhausting lack of service. Well, not me. I hope someone files a class-action lawsuit against them, and they are shut down indefinitely. Their slogan is, "where they make lending easy". They're not customer focused AT ALL.Review from Alexander R

We are ********************************** ****************************** We are received over 10 calls within 3 days from *** asking for employee verification. First 3 calls we tried to explained that person they calling about doesn't work for us and never was. Thay continue calling us and this become an issue and harassment. After receiving last call 8.30am on 11.15.24 we had no choice to block this company from calling us.Review from D. M

No customer service, you cannot talk with person. They make a mess with my escrow, We send the payment in advance and they return it in a different amount making a big problem for me and I dont have any way to resolve it since you cannot talk with customer service or chat. Monday, November 11 2024 @ 11:45**** Submitted an employment application with United wholesale mortgage. Interview was with Mikayla. Interviewer called at 11:45 ****..Caller ID shows Mikayla. Call, no ring, left voicemail and was alerted. Called back within the same minute. She explained that my phone reported as junk/spam mail. Interview was approximately 10 minutes. Long story short, she asked me normal to semi normal interviewing questions, and was happy to answer them all. Her last question was a question she already had the answer to but I was happy to respond. Once I stated my response, she instantly denied me and told me to go to school. I was not happy that she took my clothes off to absolute ****** in my own home. I understand the banking industry is strictly business for only money and what was done in the **** happens in the workplace with absolutely no consequences, and I have accepted that. I did not realize that this can be done in my own home as well. I am an Arab-American is what America calls it. Should I be Arabic first, or American first? I do not appreciate how America chooses to make america great again. It does not feel very good being naked that is not at your own discretion, does it Mikayla?United Wholesale Mortgage, Inc. Based on your review UWM performed an extensive review of the phone call interview that took place on Monday November 11. *** found no evidence of any untoward requests for unclothing nor any unprofessional activity performed by your interviewer. It was noted that the position you were applying for did require a college degree however Mikayla advised that we could look into other positions. Overall we are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience in the interview process.

As a new home owner (and a single mother to add) my loan was originally through ***. I set up auto draft for my first payment. Before I could even make it, they sold to another company. I called and spoke with ***** (customer service **** about my concern about the payment. He assured me auto draft had been cancelled and I would not be charged from them as the payment was also not sent over to the new one. I call new mortgage company and set up payment. Upon checking my bank account, *** had in fact drafted my account, now putting me in the negative since I had already paid the other company. When I called for help, I was basically told sorry there is nothing we can do. This is so unbelievably appalling. If you have service **** that cannot do their job properly and lie, causing panic to those who work and live paycheck to paycheck don't be in this business. I am now waiting for a refund from the new mortgage loan company and that will take days. Thanks UMW for causing stress, anxiety, and panic to me while at work.United Wholesale Mortgage, Inc. Affiliated broker wanted an appraisal through your service for our cash-out refi. So, we paid, the home was appraised. Only to discover the broker did not include all the land associated with our current mortgage. Not sure what to do here.. I'm not paying $615 again because the broker had full knowledge the property encompassed two lots.Further, The broker indicated that biweekly payments are encouraged. Yet I am reading in other complaints they are not credited until the monthly payment is met. This defeats the purpose of paying of debt and interest faster.Regarding the appraisal that didn't include the entire property, is there a resolution? Will you refund this payment as it is not a true appraisal of our property. It's not even useful to use for other lenders as it is incorrect. I went through Lime Lending. Regarding your concerns with your appraisal you are able to submit a "Reconsideration of Value" request through your broker where you can indicate any errors made by the appraiser of your property. Regarding your concerns with bi-weekly payments we note that you must enroll in this program and cannot make bi-weekly payments without requesting to be enrolled first. As a new broker I signed up with *** and submitted 4 loans, not a single one of them closed smoothly and even was told by the 4 different title companies that they are terrible. One closing they didn't even send the correct *** of wire thus causing the sellers to charge $2,000 so the buyer could take possession before their surgery and on the same deal never even sent a note with the package. My AE lied to me and then tried to charge my borrower an extra $80, I had files delayed because UW was out yet I had to cover extensions resulting in over $800 lost. I've been in the industry for over 14 years and this is by far one of the most consistent terrible companies I've ever worked with and I really hope others avoid them so they don't go through what I had to.United Wholesale Mortgage, Inc. They have been unresponsive to us. Leaving us in the dark about what they need. We call and they will not provide needed info and just keep adding to what we owe them. I am writing this review praying I can prevent someone from going through what I went through with UNITED WHOLESALE MORTGAGE. My closing was rescheduled 3 times because UNITED WHOLESALE MORTGAGE kept requesting documents at last minute, and I made sure they got everything they asked for.On 9/6/24 my pregnant fianc, 4 month old baby, and I drove 12 hours to *******, ************** to close on our ******* home with a $11,000 cashiers check. We were told that we were going to be clear to close at 12:30pm on 9/7/24 and at 11:30am on the day of closing, which was literally 3 hours prior, we got a phone call stating we were being audited for quality control. I had to be at work 2am the next day (10/9/24) and couldnt afford to miss another day of work because Im an owners operator for a trucking company in ********** and already called out at last minute to travel to ** for closing; not mention, called out 9/27 & 10/4 thinking I was closing. Because we were promised to close I only booked a hotel for just Sunday (9/6/24) since I was driving back home after closing on 9/7/24; consequently, my family and I had nowhere to go for hours because our room and every room in our hotel were fully booked for 9/6/24 so we hung out in the lobby after our mandatory 1pm checkout due to all the hotels we called were fully booked as well. We talked to our lawyer and decided to walk away from our new home due to principle because not one person including the broker, sales agent, builders, new lending company and lawyers have NEVER seen anything like that before and agreed that it was not random and said they too would have walked away due principle. We can always find another home and new lender but can never get another chance to stand up for ourselves when it comes to UWM. Remember your principles are more important than any materialistic thing so never allow anyone to waste your time by playing ping pong with your family, time, money and livelihood.United Wholesale Mortgage, Inc. We apologize that you did not have a desirable experience with UWM. Please understand that as a wholesale lender, independent mortgage brokers submit loan applications to *** for underwriting and closing. *** does not have mortgage brokers that work directly for ***. All brokers are independent, separate companies and thus an experience with one mortgage broker would not be reflective of the experience you would have with another mortgage broker. I was in the process of selling my house when I first heard about United Wholesale Mortgage. The buyer who was supposed to buy my house used United Wholesale Mortgage. Two days before closing the buyer had to let us know that United Wholesale Mortgage could no longer finance the loan. Apparently, United Wholesale Mortgage only reviewed the buyers finances and not their residency. The ultimate reason for the denial of the loan was due to the buyers "temporary residency". My attorney and realtor had never heard of a loan company denying a loan two days before closing because they did not check to see if the buyers were here on a ***** I am not even sure how a loan is the final stages of being cleared to close without that being checked. While we are not able to speak about the details of the loan in question, *** does follow all applicable guidelines regarding the underwriting of loans and would've notified any responsible parties of any pending requirements to approve the loan for closing well prior to any scheduled closings.
