**** showed up at my elderly mother's home on Saturday, July 20, 2024 in the late afternoon. She signed up for a pest control service and gave him her debit card. After he left, she called me and said she made a mistake and shouldn't have done that. I called **** to cancel the contract a couple hours later. He was very nice and stated we needed to call the **** office on Monday. In the mean time, we cancelled the debit card. We called the **** office on Monday, which was actually in ******* and explained the situation. They needed payment before the contract could be cancelled. We mailed a money order to *********. Some time after, she starting receiving calls for payment. They said they received the money order and cancelled the contract. She wasn't going to continue paying them. She met her obligation. Now, she has received a text message from a collection agency for EcoShield payment. She does not owe any money to them. Please have this business stop contacting her. In the agreement, it states "the buyer may cancel this transaction at any time prior to midnight of the the third business day after the date of this transaction". She is elderly and very upset up this. She also does not want to be contacted by a collection agency. Please help... *** (daughter)
