I hired TopLawn in 2020 after moving to Commerce, MI due to great reviews and recommendations. Since that time I have heard countless neighbors firing TopLawn due to poor customer service, poor results, and killing lawns. Unfortunately over a 2 years with this company I have had similar results. Even when my wife and I called to ask for an explanation they came back and sprayed so much chemical on areas they killed the weeds and my lawn. This year I decided to follow my neighbors and move to a new local company. Once I had a new signed contract I called TopLawn to cancel my service. Spoke to a rep. and moved on. On April 30, 2022 TopLawn (unannounced) came to my home treated my lawn and sent me a ****. At 3:59PM on April 30 I emailed ********************* (co owner) stating that I cancelled my service and I would not be paying his ****. He responded claiming to have never been fired and he had sent 3 emails since January about this year.I knew I had called to cancel and also knew I never received said emails so asked **** to forward the emails as if I am responsible I pay my debts. His response:Since all of our incoming calls are recorded I'm sure you don't mind giving me the phone number you called from and I can listen to the phone conversation and we can resolve this matter. It won't work to tattle tale to the reviews sir, I mean really? That is childish, Like saying "I'm telling Mom" If there is no actual call to discontinue the service I will reply to it truthfully with facts online too....I replied to **** with my phone #, again asked him to forward the emails. The phone number X has never called into my office ever. WIFE has called us one time last year and this is that recording . The fact is ME you are either simply mistaken or you are a liar. Who cares at this point. you keep your money. I will rest easy without it knowing I tell the truth. Top Lawn said until they receive the phone call from the owner of the house they will keep coming for lawn care. Even next year, even the house owner changes. TL wont call us to make sure if we still need lawn care. I complained about it because they didnt explain when I signed up on the phone. I needed lawn care last year but I didnt this year. Why they still charges. When I explained my concern, customer service guy said its your own fault and hung up my phone call. Im one of the customer, they have no appreciation to the customers. If you need lawn care, I wont recommend Top Lawn. Ill never use this company!

Top Lawn and all other lawn care companies never cancel services unless the customers ask us to. All phone calls, correspondence, and online transactions state the account owner must terminate the service. We also send multiple emails over the winter break informing customers their service is active, and we plan on servicing your home again soon. All phone calls are recorded, and an internal investigation will be performed. I apologize if the representative was not friendly. It's never our intention to argue with a customer.
