Paid contractor 75%. After two weeks of no communication, they are threatening to send us to collections and put a lien on our house. The work was incomplete. Project manager and I agreed I would have different contractor complete remaining work. Project manager abruptly left, no communication. Poor communication throughout project, subpar work. We never refused to pay as company stated, we only wish to pay for the work they completed and not a dime more. Owner has been sending threatening emails but has yet to return a single call.

The insurance company inspected the property to validate all work was complete and quality is good. *** is trying to not pay her bill and is going to extreme lengths.  I have Lien on her property. Basically she is slandering and defamation to try to get out of paying me 10k.

       Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not satisfactory to me but I wish to close this out. It seems like no matter what I try to do, no one cares that this business is treating us so poorly. We have agreed to pay to stop them from threatening to foreclose our home and that is the only reason why. The work was not complete by him, hence why he doesnt have photos. Nonetheless, we have intentions to pay to make this man leave us alone. Having to deal with this after already having a fire and flood is TRAUMATIC.

I have been trying to get them to finish fixing my house. They ripped stuff from my house over a year ago, they have taken slot of money from me but have done nothing to finish my house. I call them time after time but ***,t return my calls or give me the run around. I have a ****** and it is becoming a hazard for me. My insurance company has settled the claim but they are giving me the run around. I have been very patient with them but something has to be done. This all started on may 18 2022.. I am going to half to move out of the house for about 3 weeks or so they say. I would like to get this finished after the holidays. I am s senior and just can not take much more of this. Thank you for any help you can give. I do not know where else to turn other then talk to a lawyer. My house insurance is with state farm. Right after it happened they sent someone out for an assement, got a quote, filed the claim and it was settled for that amount. Then haven builders turn around and say that all of a sudden they found asbestos so the whole process. Starts all over again and there has been trouble ever since with them not my insurance company.

Invoice # for gutter details: ****. Job # for roofing work: 22-0883-ER. ******, 2022 my husband and I enlisted Haven Builders to replace our storm damaged roof. The week of May 6, 2023 Haven Builders replaced our roof. My husband and I were also in ********** that week. The morning after we got home, we walked around the house and looked over the new roof. The roof itself looks okay, but we both noticed that the chimney chase cover and probably the chimney flashing were not replaced as specified on our copy of the work order. There is also the issue of a missing accent piece that was put on the front of the house by ******************* Company 6 years ago. The replacement downspouts were also still lying in the driveway in their box. In the last 6 weeks all that has gotten done is the downspouts and gutters, which there is some problems with. When I call, they say they'll get right back to me and never do. I feel like I'm being ghosted. So far I gave them apprx $14,365 insurance $ with a remaining balance of $5803. Contacts at Haven Builders are: *****************************, Office manager, *********************, Project manager and *******************************, Assistant to the Project manager. The main # is ************. The # to reach **** or ******** is, or seems to be....************. I have had contact with these guys maybe 6-7 times in the last 6 weeks. Every time they swear they will get back to me before the end of the day and NEVER DO!!! Yesterday (*****) was the last straw. I spoke to the office manager in the morning. She claimed to be **** and ********'s boss so I told her my issues with the work and the complete lack of communication. She swore to me that she would have a meeting with **** and ******** in the afternoon and work up a solution to resolve the problems. She also assured me that she would have **** E mail me yesterday afternoon with what they are going to do. IT NEVER HAPPENED. All I want is for them to finish the job and correct workmanship issues. Paperwork is vague.
