In March of 2024, I purchased a preowned 2023 Jeep Wrangler with 2952 miles (less than 3,000). The vehicle has had the check engine light on for the majority of ownership with a little over 6,000 miles on it. It was due to go into the shop for the third time since owning it in March, but began to lunge forward and had to driven back to our home to await a tow. Aside from it lunging forward and not driving correctly, it no longer will hold an electric charge and currently will not start at all. Each time the check engine light comes on, I have called Morries and shared with them the problems I am having with the vehicle. To which I have been told to take it to my dearest dealer as it is under warranty. Well now I can't even drive it to the nearest dealership because it will not start. I spoke with FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automotives) and learned that this vehicle has had two new engines placed in it with the original owner, between October 2023-December 2024. The original owner purchased the vehicle from Morries on May 19, 2023. Morries was fully aware of the engine problems with the original owner and did a vehicle buy back from the original owner. This vehicle is a down right lemon and was misrepresented to us in the buying process. The dealership was and is fully aware of it's engine problems when they sold the vehicle to us, telling us "it's a great car with no issues". Additionally, I have all service records during the original owner of the vehicle and Morries service rep shared with me that the vehicle had at least one new engine. We traded in a vehicle and paid cash for this vehicle. We are out almost $48K total. Morries buy back is of course thousands less than we paid. They have refused to give me a full refund (minus miles we drove) back on this vehicle. This dealership operates on deceptive practices and I would not recommend it to anyone.
