    This company was hired to clean my dryer vent. The tech started the job and stopped midway to tell me that my dryer vent was installed wrong and was missing a piece. He called his boss to see what to do. The boss said they could fix it for $500! He was insistent that he had to charge me because it was going to be an emergency visit. My dryer was working fine. I told him I was not paying anymore for them to fix a problem they caused. The tech packed up and left me with a non-working dryer and a huge mess. My walls were covered with black handprints, there was dryer lint all over my carpet. They called back in the afternoon and said they could come out the following day to reattach the vent. For $375! I said several times no and was so insulted that the owner could not be bothered to call me, instead had the secretary call. I called a professional home builder to come and fix the problem. He said it was installed fine, no pieces missing. He said the tech from Sirvent was too aggressive with his cleaning rods and ripped the venting tube from the vent in the roof. All that needed to be done was to reattach the tube with some screws. This company left me without a dryer for a week and caused me such frustration and anger. To ask me to pay for the problem their tech caused, and then to not take any responsibility for their employee. I would never use this company for anything. I called the company who recommended them and they will never recommend them again.

    Hello, ********. Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry to hear that your experience with us was unpleasant. However, the dryer vent was indeed installed incorrectly prior to our arrival. Each pipe connection is to be secured with a minimum of 3 sheet metal screws. In our professional experience, when connections are found to be secured with the minimum of 3 sheet metal screws, these connections do not come apart by running a brush through the system. When your technician was granted access to the attic to detect the problem, it was then that he discovered a section of the pipe was missing and also documented with picture evidence that there appeared to be a significant amount of lent built up in the attic indicating that it had been disconnected for quite some time. A missing piece was not found in or near the working area, also indicating that the installation was never completed. The $500 quote was given to complete the installation. We do understand your frustration and apologize for any inconvenience. We have learned from this experience and we now inspect the working area and document any damage we may find prior to servicing.
