      Upon arriving at Mattress Direct my husband asked the salesman to look up our last purchase, we were there to buy a split king bed and base. We asked that we have equal to better than our last purchase. While he was looking it up we said about to picking out a mattress. We found a mattress we were happy with it happened to be a Tempur-Pedic hybrid comparable to our last bed. We didn't discuss the base, we just asked that he order one comparable to our last one.That said we put 4 thousand down and financed the 4 thousand 5 hundred dollar balance.The bed was delivered and that night we discovered the low quality base, that had none of the features of our last bed. It had one setting for massage (on & off ) and the structure was of low quality as well.I called the next morning for help, the salesman said he was with a customer and would call back.He never called back.I called corporate 3 times for help and I'm still waiting for a call back.After 2 weeks now of going in and playing phone tag, I finally get my salesman to talk to me and said he was sorry but policy is ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NO EXCHANGES.I feel like a dummy for trusting that the salesman would order a base like my last one.I am shocked and dismayed and seeking help.I would like to exchange my base for one like I had before, if they will not do this, then I want to return all of it and purchase elsewhere.

      Lesson learned: On 10/13/21, I purchased a mattress and an adjustable base from Mattress Direct that was delivered to my home on 10/16/21 during my work hours. After the delivery guys left and during my off-work hours, I was able to fully examine the bed and noticed the torn strings on the mattress and the black spots on the base. I went directly to the store to try and get this rectified by having them exchange the items (photos were shown to the store manager – ******). She advised I speak to the manager that took care of my account on the day of purchase – that Wednesday. We attempted to send him the photos and a note, but the message kept failing. She advised I see him on Sunday. I went back to the store on Sunday 10 /17/21 and spoke to I. ******. Photos were sent to his cell-phone number as he requested. I explained the situation and asked for an exchanged. He advised that he needed to send the information to corporate and the shipping warehouse manager. He asked I give him until Monday. I called him on Monday, and he told me the shipping manager was sick and would not be back until Tuesday. I called him on Tuesday, and he asked I give him another day. On Wednesday, he informed me that the company decided not to exchange the items nor give me a refund. I have a bed and adjustable base in my home that I have not slept on because I want this matter rectified. I am tried to complete this process in a manner that would be amicable to both of us and but that did not happen. My take on this is that one should not be trusting. Businesses are not always honest and do not care about the customer. Before you sign anything, make sure you look over the product. Lesson learned.
