I don't write letters of complaint. I figure if a restaurant is bad or an experience is not good, I vote by not returning. But my experience at Kia of Laurel was so terrible and unethical it deserves this review. Our attempt to buy a car took nearly five hours. The dealership lied on the phone about what cars they had in the lot, offered us a rebate with an interest rate (high, but acceptable), but at the last moment informed us we could only have one or the other. Made a mistake on the paperwork that would have cost us $1500 dollars (again, despite earlier written promises), and only informed us we were about to buy a car with a paint job that required special car when we halfway through the paperwork. This is not our first car and we expect dealerships to negotiate in their own interest. We were willing to pay a little above the internet market price for convenience and, because were were vigilant, we could have had a decent deal on the car. We walked away. We just could not do business with a company that either through incompetence or intentional deception is unethical. The only thing I regret is that we did not walk way four hours earlier and I believe you will be better off finding a different dealership with higher standards.
