    I really cannot fathom how a business attracts customers when they are rude and derogatory during initial contact. I inquired as to cost of gravel drive. I was informed via email that for an on-site estimate the charge is $250 (which would be applied to final bill). Charging for an estimate is not an estimate, and I replied, to a separate text received, that I found the charge to be "odd" and I was using someone more local. Shortly thereafter, I received a series of texts, presumably from the owner, Scott Dennis, that were belittling, demeaning and derogatory. I attempted to be civil and explain my reasoning and that the website did not explain, fully, the charge for estimate. I've owned and managed many businesses and understand the pressure, but this was uncalled for.

    While we appreciate your feedback, we believe the full details will help clarify the record. Our staff reached out to the prospective customer with a phone call after he filled out our online web form for gravel drives. The prospective customer promptly directed the call to voice mail and then sent a curt, "just text me." So my staff kindly introduced herself via text and said she was following up with the form submission. He responded with another curt address and a snarky remark about how we do business is odd, and he went with another company. After reading his response, I thanked him for disqualifying himself as a potential customer because we do not work with people who are rude to our employees. Regardless of the potential customer's intent, the short snips and snarky comments appeared less than a polite exchange. After a few text exchanges, the customer accused us of being less than honest on our website. I sent the customer a link to the page from which he submitted the form. I showed him that we provide a free estimate via phone, email, or text and that the site assessment is not an estimate but a paid consultation to discuss and plan the project. We were not "derogatory" or "demeaning" toward the customer. Still, I was very matter-of-fact and told him I had no room for him being curt or snarky with our staff. This prospective customer stated he ran a not-for-profit organization. I informed him that we did not and expected to get paid for consulting work. He did not attempt to be "civil" until I sent him the link to the form he filled in and told him he didn't bother to read the page, which spells out our process with much specificity, which includes a free estimate via phone, email, or text. While I do regret the unfortunate exchange I do stand by my staff and refuse to work with someone who is short with and disrespectful to anyone working for or representing our company.

    Based on the businesses response, which are incorrect and demeaning, I will gladly share a screen capture of the texts between myself and this business. I attempted a couple of times to end the chat but he insisted on continuing until I blocked him. No money exchanged hands and none will. I will make certain that anyone I know who inquires about these services is aware of this company's anti-consumer attitude.

    A little more context regarding this reviewer will help put things in perspective. This reviewer is doxing one of my staff's personal cell phone numbers. She has received harassing text messages with vulgar language from his friends or followers on a Sunday morning before sunrise. He has done the same here, repeatedly revealing my staff's personal information. There was no need for a short, snarky comment on how he finds the way we do business odd after kicking her initial call to voicemail without ever speaking with her. A simple "thanks for following up with me, but we already lined someone else up" or simply deleting the voicemail without any response would have been the polite way. But no, this reviewer went out of his way to make a snarky comment about how we do business. Our staff deals with dozens of people via text, phone, and email daily, making it easy for them to pick up on red flags of how someone is behaving. We find it very disturbing that this reviewer would post personal information and have his friends or followers send harassing text messages early on a Sunday morning. This vengeful behavior gives a little insight into the reviewer. Our initial assessment of this reviewer was reasonably accurate.

    Absolutely false allegations. Other than pointing out how this business operates, I have not shared any personal information as I do not know any personal information other than who the owner is, which is public information anyway. This business needs to stop this harassment and falsehoods or legal action will be taken.

    Thank you for removing the private information from your Yelp review. We had reported that photo to Yelp as revealing private information, but I'm thankful you kindly removed it. However, we do have screenshots of the text messages specifically naming your name as being the one to post the private information as well as the photo you uploaded to your review on Yelp. All of which can easily be verified through discovery should you wish to pursue legal action. Naturally, we are glad to have you stop harassing our company online, and we have preserved the text messages and images you have shared in the event that you do not cease and desist.
