My first experience with Davies was when I contacted them in August of 2021 to ask for a referral for an emergency AC situation with a rental property. I had a home of people with compromised health and serious respiratory problems, who were not likely to continue to do well in the heat and humidity of a Morehead City August without AC, but the AC had died. I didnt know then that Davies had their own HVAC people, but was soon very glad to find out. All the AC repair places I had called were backed up, and I understood this. Most of those I tried did not even want to bother putting me on a list. So when I called Davies, I was just hoping... but my folks had air conditioning back on that very day, even though the part needed to fully complete the repair would not be available for a couple of days, which was done then. Mission complete. Recently (Feb 2022) our well pump just stopped running. It had been running for many years, so the possibility that the pump motor had died was not shocking to me. So I "naturally" start searching for well pump people on the internet (And then it occurred to me to see about getting a referral from Davies. So I contact Davies and am asked (sort of like the last time) would I like a Davies man to come take a look? Well, of course, and he did. And I know each step he took in pinpointing the problem as he was both willing and quite able to explain his reasoning, to rule out the simplest solutions first. Turned out our well pump motor is fine, but we needed a new bladder tank, and some wiring replaced. The crew grew to the need, and the work, which included burying electrical lines to the pump and running some under the house, was wrapped up in a day. After the repairs were complete one the the senior men explained some things to me about our system that I was glad to learn and that will guide me in maintaining the system in the future. These folks take pride in their work.
