After MANY appointments made to install our new building they finally came back in August. Good thing I stayed home from work all day. The installers literally had the building facing the wrong way after we discussed which way it went. They had already bolted it the concrete. I had to run outside and stop them. That set them back several hours as they had to cut off bolts all over the slab flooring. The bolts are sanded down, but still all over the slab. The crew worked late and came back the next morning and they were always pleasant. At 9:30 pm on day 2 my husband went to check on them as it was dark and we live in the *****. The *** said they were almost done and had to finish that evening because they had to get back to **. We fell asleep. LITERALLY at 2:15 am we were awoken by their truck lights shining in our bedroom window, and our dog started barking loudly. My husband went to the door to see what was going on as they were pulling out of the driveway. The next morning we found that several roofing screws were missing so daylight was showing through inside the building. We got a ladder and had to install missing screws ourselves. Keep in mind we had the 12' walls so our building is quite high! And where did the screws come from you ask???? Well, over the course of 3 days after the crew left, we picked up 52 screws with washers attached to them from the driveway and surrounding areas. 52!! I have attempted to reach the company via phone several times to no avail. The building itself we are 90% happy with. The customer service, installation timelines, multiple missed appoints would stop me from using them in the future. OH, BUT BY 9AM THE MORNING THEY FINISHED I RECEIVED 2 CALLS FROM THE COMPANY ASKING FOR MY FINAL PAYMENT! During our call on 8/12/24, you expressed that you didnt want the crew to face any trouble and acknowledged their hard work, which we appreciate. Regarding the screws found on your property, its possible for some to be left behind during a project. Our crews aim to clean up thoroughly, but we understand this was an issue for you and will work to improve in this area. As for communication, follow-ups were made after the installation, and payment was confirmed without any mention of outstanding concerns. I had the concrete pad ready for them in mid-July. I notified them and sent pictures immediately. After waiting two weeks, they called to say it would be scheduled in September. I called in September and they said it would be scheduled the second or third week of September. I was assured once it was scheduled, they would be on site within a week. I called them again on September 23, 2024 and was told it would be scheduled by the last week of October. I am ready to file a lawsuit against them. Thinking they were reliable, I paid all but $1,000 up front. My mistake. If I could rate zero stars I would. The last time I spoke with them I explained that I would be finding a place to leave a review online. Looking at the reviews, I now believe it is time to go have a conversation with the County Attorney.Five Star Metal Buildings, LLC Response

A picture of my concrete slab was sent to and received by 5 star metal buildings showing the build was ready,per their request,on 6-10-24. I was told they were approximately 8-10 weeks out on their building schedule and I accepted that fact. Then I was told the 3-4th week of August. That time has come and gone. Then we were told the week of either 9/16 or 9/23. Then we were told a crew would be here on 9/19 "after lunch", I'm seeing a pattern developing here, and the building would be finished on 9/20. We received a call on 9/15 saying due to recent tropical storms our building would once again be delayed. There has been no significant rainfall in our area (zip code *****) for weeks. Why do we have to be rescheduled AGAIN instead of installing buildings in our area, where work can be done and crews can continue working? Now we are worried about the building getting put up before our building permit runs out, and if it does, will 5 star metal buildings pay for the new permit? Dealing with 5 star metal buildings has been nothing short of H*** and absolutely will never deal with them again,and would warn any of their potential victims to steer clear of them, even if it means spending a little more money on their building.Five Star Metal Buildings, LLC Response

Extremely poor customer service. Call after call and email after email not returned. Only received response when I threatened to file a police report for theft (we had already paid the $18K). Also cost us thousands more because we hired a crew and rented equipment based on committed delivery, only to have them not show up until 8 hours late (after not showing up at all on the expected delivery date)!Five Star Metal Buildings, LLC Response

I ordered a 35x35 and was told to send a site picture in once concrete was finished. I sent a picture in on June 27th and asked for a confirmation that it was received. It wasnt until I had to call several times and finally call my sales **** to for them to confirm they received the picture, that was on July 9th. Was told it would be 6-8 weeks. It has now been 7.5 weeks and I called to get an update. Was told it would now be late September hopefully before they could get to it. Thats going on 12 weeks and they still arent sure if it will be then. Was given many excuses all of which Im sure will be in the companys response to this review. I would like to express that we are highly pleased with our building so far. (60x100 ) As you can imagine, this was a very concerning project for our little enterprise and as of right now, our worries and concerns have been answered to our satisfaction. The dealer, Mr. ****** at ************************ was highly knowledgeable and beyond helpful in helping us through this entire process. We are thankful for the professionalism in which ************************ and their office and management carried out the logistics and accounting of this project for us. We are very grateful. Only God knows how long this building will bless our family. the building seems as sturdy as anything else on our 50 year old farm. I want to share with you our experience with the work crew They sent to the build site. We were very pleased, not just with the end result of our building, but with the care and craftsmanship shown by the gentlemen your company sent. Forgive my spelling if I get it wrong, but ******, ******, *********, and ***** represented *********** with professionalism seldom seen in this current time. The craftsman were not just knowledgeable, careful, and timely in work. They were open, honest, and personable with my family while here on our farm. They brought possible problems in a timely manner, which allowed me to address them, in turn, creating a zero stress building experience for us. They were knowledgeable of their timeline and managed the build in a way that kept us "in the know" without bogging us down with eccentricities in the plan or causing the undo panic that some projects of this nature can cause, In short, we wanted to make sure to express to you what a blessing they were to us. We hope you know and act in a way to reward these gentlemen for this sort of character and professionalism in representing your company. Ordered a 70x30 building fro High Quality steel structures which handed over construction to Five Star. Was told it was a 10 week wait to get to me. That was fine with me I understood that since it was summer. They said they would be here July 29th 2024 rescheduled to Aug. 1st no biggie. So they get there Thursday Aug. 1st after lunch said they would be done on Friday Aug. 2nd brought a check for ********* because they were supposed to be finished that day. Well they didnt finish it was Saturday my wife and came up to see building at that point we were informed that they had left 24 roof panels off the truck and was told they would be there to finish Aug. 12th called told by **** it would be the 19th very rude person has no respect for other peoples time. Today is Aug. 22nd still no roof called them said it would be Sept. 9th. But he didnt call me no guts on his part. If I could have given them a zero I would have. The worst experience & no one cares Purchased a Building to be delivered on June 17 no show & no call I had to call several times to inquire, they came next day. Was told itll be a day or day & 1/2 to install. They finished on Friday 6/21. Door was damaged in several spots I called several times sent pictures but no one called to make it right. I started posting on ******** the Supervisor texted me 7/9 @ 11:32 am his words We will go ahead and get this taken care of ma'am till they blocked me from ********, never hear back and no response to my calls or text.No warranties was given.THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.Five Star Metal Buildings, LLC Response

Thank you for your feedback. Were sorry to hear about your frustration. According to our records, we installed the building with the standard walk-in door you ordered. You requested a premium door that you saw on our crews truck, which was for the next customer. We couldnt exchange the door at the time because the crew brought the door you originally ordered. To accommodate this, we offered to install a walk-in door of your choice or return with the premium door at a quarter of the price to show our appreciation for you as a customer. Regarding the doorknob, it did not come in the packet with the door that you picked out and we installed. Was informed that if a permit was not granted a full refund would be given. Company was sent a record from zoning and planning department indicating that a carport could not be constructed due to zoning. When I called the company Five Star Metal, was told by sales person (***********************)a refund would not be given, based upon that a letter of decline was not given by DCO of *************, **. Was informed by the county they do not give letters of denials only the zoning and requirements from the county commission. This should service the letter. This was not told to me prior to purchase and down payment. Was told only refund would be refunded. If permit could not be retained and given. Refunds are only offered if we are unable to construct a building that meets the required wind and snow loads for your county. In your case, we can meet these requirements, and therefore, we are unable to offer a refund. Permit denials due to zoning setbacks or other requirements fall under the customer's responsibility, as these factors are specific to each property and outside our control. Our obligation is to build a structure that meets the strength and safety standards required for permitting. I ordered building from High Quility steel structures November 2023 and made the 2500 deposit building comes from five star I was to have the building installed April 15 *************************************************** delivered they are 2 1/2 months behind and just keep pushing it back seems fishy to me but its getting to the point they need to take money off the building I ordered if they cant do the job they were paid forFive Star Metal Buildings, LLC Response

The contract was received on Jan 3,2024. Order was processed over to scheduling on April 29 when we received site pictures. We advised the customer we were on a 6-8 week turn around time. Our office was closed the week of July 1. Customer is scheduled to be installed July 10
