************************** was hired by *************************** Group (General Contractor) to install our LVP flooring throughout the entire first floor of our new construction home. SWP is a flooring supplier & installation company. ******* feels that they are also a "self proclaimed" flooring expert. Both SWP and/or ******* should have known that the subfloor was not prepped properly. Obviously, neither ******* or SWP felt the need to prep the subfloor properly and went ahead with the install regardless. Our floor has humps and divots throughout similar to a walk on the beach. After we reached out to both ******* and SWP with our concerns, ******* sent one of its flooring expert who confirmed that the floor was not prepped properly and should be lifted, prepped correctly and reinstalled. ******* stated this would not be an option and was unwilling to take accountability and said the flooring expert was simply visiting to look at only the high traffic areas to remedy/replace and not to walk the entire floor (in our open concept home) for an assessment. Once again, this is new construction with an open concept and flooring throughout. Most of flooring in an open concept first floor is high traffic areas. We once again contacted ***************** of SWP directly who also will not take any accountability because he was not contracted to do the prep work and was authorized to go ahead with the install. Regardless of who was responsible for prepping the floor, SWP should have NEVER INSTALLED THE FLOORING based on his professional experience as this subfloor was not properly prepared prior to install. Very disappointing with not only our General Contractor ******* but also with the flooring contractor/owner ***************** and his company ************************** as he will not stand behind his work!!
