I had a horrible experience at the store and warn any bride before shopping there. I purchased a dress at a size I was told would fit me with room. I learned later that my bust size was 0.5 inch over the recommended size. Had I know this at the time I would have made the choice to size up and get alterations if needed. I did not and then when I went to my Fitting for dress it was too small. Had I bought the size up the dress would have be salvageable and I’d be able to even take it out a size or 2, because the dress was too tight there was no saving it. I felt pretty terrible about myself and just felt like a loser who was too big for her dress. It was awful I was crying and really upset and they gave me all of 1 minute to either decide to purchase a new dress or take the one and find a dress maker to remake it. . Given my wedding was under 3 months away I chose to purchase a new dress. They told me I could Get 1/2 off the old dress towards a new dress as is off the rack, I agreed. I found a dress (of course over my original budget but I was already a whole dress over at this point) Little did I know they would keep the first dress instead of letting me keep it since I bought it. Again I was really stressed and I suffer from terrible anxiety so my head wasn’t right. We did alterations and when I went to pick it up, they didn’t have my appointment saved (having changing my entire work schedule and driving over an hour there) because of this I didn’t even get to see the tailor for my fitting and the dress needed more work. I was just frustrated so I left and now my dress is being fixed by a new tailor at a separate business. Overall this has cost me an extra 1110 plus hundreds towards alterations such as the bustle that needed to be completely re-done. Weddings and dress shopping are supposed to be exciting and I honestly hated it. I just want to make sure brides really review what they recommend and I suggest finding a different tailor.
