Roadex paving was doing a job down the street from me after they were done they rang my doorbell would I like the end of my driveway looking more smooth for $300. I need to do the improvements to my house to get it ready to sell. Paving the driveway was not one of them. I was getting estimates because a tree had fallen down in my driveway. The man that worked for this company I think he was just going around ringing everybody’s doorbells to make more money for his boss.I told him that I had a problem with water going into my garage I thought if I ever had it paved I’d have the old one dug up and made lower or so the water would run the other way. I had no idea what it cost to do a driveway he’s telling me that this is such a good deal I have one up the street for 10,000 don’t tell anybody. I guess I thought they were maybe going to put a tiny coating on it so it wouldn’t be any higher than it was already. He came in and told me to go and I gave him a check for $2500 didn’t go outside to look at it. A while later I went outside to look at it called him right up on the phone I said you need to come back you can’t leave it like this . He Put 5 inches of hot on top of the old driveway . It is cut off the drainage from the gutters. It looks terrible plus in the winter the snow is going to go Right in the garage. Going in and out of the garage you have to go over a 5 .inch speed bump. My garage door is not that high if I had a regular car or a pick up it probably wouldn’t fit. As a senior citizen living on Social Security this has caused me so much stress I realized now you can’t trust anyone. For me to spend $2500 to make my house look worse. After they left and looking up paving and driveways and I noticed people were just having seal coating and I realize that would’ve been good option and wouldn’t have added any height. One of my neighbors walked by and I asked him what do you think I could do about this he said I wouldn’t have paid them that’s terrible
