I purchased a 2018 ******* Elantra GT from Neat Auto (*****) on 12/9/23 for $13695.00. I had asked for a discount of $800 because I knew the vehicle would require some work, I asked about the wear on the tires, and he stated they were fine and that he could not provide a discount because they would do a 30-point inspection on the vehicle and would replace what needed to replace to pass inspection. The car was stickered until Jan of 2025. I was told they replaced the battery, front brakes including rotors and pads and rear brake pads as well by ***** himself. I had an oil change done by ********* *********** on Feb 7th, 2024, less than two months later and they told me all four tires had only 2/32nds tread left and needed to be replace very soon. I went back to ***** and told him how could the car pass inspection for 13 months when the tires wear all worn out? He agreed with me, and I purchased four new tires at a discounted cost of $300. I then went to ******** Works in ******* on May 8th because my son had mentioned he felt the brakes were making some noise. ******** Works told me the front brakes were at 3mm and the rear brake pads were at 4mm. I called Neat Auto to aske them how a car that had brakes done in December could need to have them replaced in May and they told me they never replaced the rear brake pads and only did the front rotors and brakes. I do not feel they replaced anything upon hearing that, how could front brakes replaced in December have less wear left on them then the rear pads that were not replaced? I told them to let ***** (the owner) who was out of the country to know I expected to be reimbursed $600 for the front brakes. I have two quotes from ******* in ****** and ******** Works in ********* for over $1200 dollars worth of brake work to have the car just be safe to drive now. I have not heard anything back from ***** or anyone else at Neat Auto either and I told them I would be taking them to small claims court.
