I put a $1,000 deposit down for a car back on 5/11/24 and after two months of waiting for the car and not receiving any sufficient updates in regards to the status of the car and being given the runaround for why the car is delayed, I decided to back out of the sale with the dealership. I requested for my deposit to be returned on 7/29/24 and it is now 8/26/24 and I still do not have my deposit back. My salesperson has told me he is “tracking down the status of the deposit refund” and “submitted a second request for the refund.” When I contact the dealership, no one answers. And when I do get ahold of someone and tell them my situation, I am told that my salesperson handles the returns of deposits.Initial Complaint

I have purchased a car and apply for $***** auto loan with this car dealer. The its financial adviser *************************** added the optional gap contract when he processed the loan application WITHOUT my authorization. As a result, my auto loan amount was increased to *****. After I found this issue, I contacted **************** immediately and asked the remove this option to keep theloan amount at *****. Then **************** modified the application and promised the adjustment would be made in about one month. As of today, the adjustment is made yet. The high interest of ***** is continuing accrued everyday. So I ask you could involve in this matter. Thanks.Initial Complaint

On aug 14,2023 at 8:30 I arrived at Lexus of Edison for a service appointment. I was greeted by a gentleman that take pictures of your car. Service Number *****. to check front right tire sensor from work done on jun 13, 2023 service number *****. I also advised that the running light was malfunctioning and need to be looked at because it's causing my headlights to blink. That light should be under 1 year warranty service was done on Oct 11,2022 service number *****. Young woman walked up to assist me and advised me that the light was out of warranty and that it was water in my light that I would have to change everything. I express to them that was not true. I then showed the pictures that was taken when I first arrived showing no water present or condensation in the headlight. I talked to the manager about the issue and he also advised me that was what the service advisor told him was the issue because someone hit my car on the driver side front. I asked to be walked to my car to see what damage. He advise me to make a false claim with my insurance company to cover the light. Upon arrive at the car that was on a lift, no damage was present. I did notice water in the headlight. I told the manager I think water was injected in the light to make me pay for an extra part. I informed the manager that I will not be having my car repaired at that location and took pictures of my car coming out of the service area. I went back on Treadtracker to save the photos to my phone and Lexus of Edison deleted photos from the email that was sent. Called to have the photos resent and the request was denied. I would like Lexus of Edison to provide the photos and pay for all parts and service at the location of my choosing. I am working with ******************* Lexus to fix the problem. I also plan on going to small claims court if not resolved. Lexus Corporation is aware of the issue. Submitted a complaint with them and investigation was done by email. They believed the mangers email.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction was around 1/2/23 I have recently purchased a car from this place and I was doing the paperwork with the financial manager over there to get it finalized, as we were going through the coverage plans, we talked about how it was beneficial for me to have all of this and that. I asked how much it was going to cost me monthly (since it was already $263/mo for a $19********* for 72 months), he said it was going to be $550 a month with the coverage. But what he failed to tell me that my total was going to increase to $31k, if I would have know that the coverage was going to add on $11k, I would have never taken the coverage plan.I still thought I was going to pay off the original price of $19k with $550/mo. I don't see this as buyers remorse since I wasn't aware that my grand total would accumulate to $31k and that the financial manager never told me that it was going to be that much. If possible I would just like to take off that coverage, except for the things that was already applied physically onto the car (like the paint protection).Business response

******************* purchased a 2023 UX250h from Lexus of Edison. On 1/2/23 he gave us a deposit and took a delivery on 1/3/23. He came in as scheduled and while in finance he purchased additional finance products and was aware the his payment was going up in order to add those products to his purchase.
Sales Manager ******************* called and left ******************* a message on 2/2/23 to schedule a time for him to come and cancel the cancelable products which he purchased.
