I bought a car from Fortis this year. For the price of $14K and a 6 year loan I would hope that they were a little more honest with the issues I deal with know. They said they would fix the sun visor clip that's holds your sunglasses there was a broken piece. after fixing it looks worse know. there were no issues with the roof at the time of buying or I would have questioned it. But after a month of having the vehicle the roof of the car has started cracking and lifting from poor repair to whatever was wrong with it before. After reaching out and sending pictures there response was its cosmetic issues and can refer me to someone that could fix the issues at my own expense. WOW!!!
So I went to Caliber collision to see what i can do to get a quote on fixing the roof as its lifting and with the rain coming it will start to rust underneath. They informed me after there inspection that the entire roof will need to be replaced and due to the poor fixing of it it cant be repaired they try to cover up the issue with a cheap fix. The price is not cheap. I get cars are sold as is and the warranty covers mechanical issues but come up how shady can you be and to not own up and take care of the problem is low for sure. Fix it or give me a new car simple but know i need to peruse it differently which will be even a more bigger pain. So disappointing.
