On 7/17/24 I took my cat for an wellness check up for heavy breathing. The Dr checked his heart and suggested a $300 Xray and $100 Oxygen treatment for 20 minutes. She also recommended a Pro-BNP to check the heart in order to determine heart disease. They took my cat to the back of the area and did not allow me to see my cat or anything that they were doing. I counted on their expertise. However, I feel that they preyed on the love I have for my cat. They did not need to do an x-ray to tell me my cat had heart failure. They knew what the outcome was based off of hearing the heart gallop and bnp levels. Why would they lead with an x-ray and fail to start off with the base of taking blood work to know the overall state of my loved one? After they ripped me off with the $300 x-ray, thats when they offered to take blood for $300 additional. They then proceeded to prescribe my cat medications only for 1 week. I asked for paper prescription and they charged me $7 for them. They refused to give any refills because I declined to pay the additional for the blood panel that they should've started with in the first place. Why refuse me refills when my cat needs the meds to live. So if they don't want to give refills to me because they don't know the state of my cats organs why prescribe something to begin with? 30 days supply or not if the organs can't handle it they won't. Then, as a cherry on top my daughter and I are upset and angry because we felt taken advantage of, they told us to stop talking negatively about the clinic and basically told us to keep quiet. I feel that they recommended and made me pay for procedures that were not needed. I want my 300 dollars refunded that I paid and they charged me for procedures that were not needed.
