In October 2022, R****** Roofing removed the existing roof and installed a new roof, gutters and downspouts on our home at **** **** ***., Newfane, N.Y. The roof around the chimney has been leaking into the attic from melting snow during winter and from rain continuously since installation. We've contacted the business at each occurrence and they've sent out roofers the fix the problem without success as it continuously leaked. The last time one of the roofers went into the attic and pointed out an area where he could see light from the outside that was a source of a leak. Again they worked to correct the the problem without success. This was the seventh time they were here accomplishing nothing. I again called and their roofing experts showed up and told me it wasn't the roof but the cap on the chimney. No one from start to finish ever mentioned that the cap on the chimney was defective and the cause of the problem. The roof is still leaking from the rain. We were giving a lot of lip service from R****** Roofing about how they could and would correct the problem, without success. They finally washed there hands of it and blamed it in the chimney cap as they were incapable of resolving the problem. The gutters and leaf guards were also installed incorrectly and after numerous calls to the business and numerous attempts at correcting the problems to the best of my knowledge, without actually being able to get on the roof and seeing for myself, I assume it was done. There were other problems concerning leakage into the garage walls which they said they corrected but yet to be determined when we have snow melt. This has been a constant source of mental stress and anxiety since they were hired and payed in full. We're well into our eighties and never expected to have to deal with this at our age or any age. I regret having to resort to this but we're at a loss as to resolution to the problems.
