Animoto set my account to auto-renewal, which I did not catch until my credit card was charged $96.00 (a significant jump from the $62.40 rate billed a year earlier). I immediately contacted support and was told "I've sent your request over to our billing department to follow up, so you should hear back from them within 2-3 business days." Then this person (*******) offered some type of ambiguous credit code that made no sense. She made no mention of a no-refund policy.I reiterated that I wanted a full refund. I only used their service to make a specific video the previous August. I never used the program again, and did not realize it was set to auto-renewal. I never use auto-renewal for this very reason. Most companies are understanding and reasonable. This company is neither.I just logged in to Animoto and they have me set for renewal again on August 19, 2025. They do not intend to give me a ***********'s the response I received today:"We have a no-refund policy laid out in our Terms of Service, so each request has to be reviewed and approved every step of the way. I appreciate your understanding. In the last email, ******* gave a little information about the auto-renewal remaining on in the account, which is why that renewal charge posted. For next time, the auto renewal feature can be turned off prior to the next payment date from within your settings page.
