I purchased a vehicle about a month ago from the auction. They did not disclose any issues with the vehicle like they do with all others. I have purchased several cars from them. I went to start the car after I purchased and had to jump the battery. I was not able to drive the car all the way home, which is only 10 miles, before the car shut off. The engine is making noise like it is going to go out. We then received a letter that stated the odometer was off and they want us to sign a paper to accept. I have made several calls to speak with the manager and he called back 1 time and said to email him the paper and he would get back to me the same day. I have called everyday since and I have gotten no response.

This vehicle was advertised and sold as a repossession in AS-IS condition. It is the buyers responsibility to inspect the vehicle and determine its fitness for their use.  We do not inspect or provide any express or implied warranty with vehicles purchased at auction.  It is reasonably expected that a 10 year old vehicle with 171,000 miles purchased for $1400 would need some repairs.

As far as the paperwork it was a clerical issue of 1 mile, clearly not a significant issue however the corrected documents are required to title your vehicle.  You are welcome to call the auction and speak with me anytime.

      Thank you,

      Keith

I purchased a 2018 Nissan Rogue S for $15,000 on 02/25/2023. I paid for and picked up the vehicle on 02/28/2023. The vehicle had a green light and 4.2 rating. I expected the car to start, I realize I bought as is, but a unit that is 2018 with 58k mileage and cost 15k should start. I had to get a jump by a skipco employee The car had very little gas.So I drive to a gas station and fill the car up The car would not start dead battery! A customer attempted to jump the car, however no success I called emergency road service who said the battery needed to be replaced He jump started the Nissan rogue. I drove sixty miles near home stopped at auto zone. After turning the ignition off, again start the car would not start. I purchased a new battery for $230. The car now runs ok I was misled by Skipco auctions thinking a green light to mean the car would start. The car issues wasted a lot of time I should be reimbursed for the new car battery. This should have been disclosed in the condition section that it would not start or given a red light, not a green light to confuse and upset a loyal customer The practice by Skipco was very dishonest and unacceptable and unethical. Please reimburse me for the battery and hassle in purchasing this vehicle

First off, we appreciate your business and bidding and buying at the auction.  We always strive to give a great customer experience.  I am sorry you had issues with the battery on your purchase.  Unfortunately, this is common because we sell mostly repossessions and they often sit for several months before being sold.  The green light system requires inspection and is designed to protect against structural and major mechanical issues over $600 to repair.  Items under $600 are generally considered maintenance and are not covered.  We will continue to look at better ways to deliver this information to potential buyers so they can be prepared.  Hopefully, you are happy with your purchase otherwise and will consider visiting us again in the future.

      Thank you,

      Keith

During an auto auction, the auctioneer presented a drivetrain guarantee on the vehicle that never truly existed. This drove the bids up from $600 to $2000. I was told that you had two hours after the auction to have an inspection, but known the bids are online they know this information is not available or even possible to achieve. They keep you on hold and never answer question, so you can never remedy such issues. The biding stop short of $700 until the then added the. I have the paper work showing the Guarantee like presented at the auction but never any description of how to have it honored or confirmed. With online people never having a chance to even try to confirm. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING AT IT'S WORST. Skicpco needs to pay me back full price!

In order to take advantage of the guarantee as an online bidder you would need to request a post sale inspection within two hours of sale.  I apologize Mr. ******** was unclear on how the program works.  However, Mr. ******** has never stated that the vehicle has any kind of drivetrain issue that would be covered by the guarantee regardless of time.  As far as the price is concerned, the auction is a competitive bidding environment with the price determined by the participants.  The guarantee may, or may not, have been a determining factor in what bidders were willing to pay.  Each individual participant is free to stop bidding at any point.  At Skipco our goal is always to provide the best experience possible, feel free to contact me with any further questions.
