Buyer Beware: Kia Telluride Cracked Windshield Problem I bought a Kia Telluride on July 17, 2024. I drove it to Michigan on July 18. During the trip, a highway pebble kicked up from the tire of a truck in front of me and hit the windshield. The pebble created a chip in the windshield. Within minutes, a linear crack formed from the passenger side to the driver's side of the vehicle. I researched "Kia Telluride cracked windshield" via the internet, and there is evidence that the issue is due to manufacturer negligence. The windshield is defective, and a class action lawsuit has been filed against Kia. In 2020, Kia even sent letters to owners offering to replace cracked windshields for free. Ordinarily, I would've blamed myself for not purchasing a windshield warranty, but after doing the research, I realized that Kia is selling a known faulty product for the past five years. This incident wasn't a fluke and needs to be addressed by the company and the dealership. I asked the salesperson at JWK to work with me on a price to replace the windshield and was rebuffed, hence this warning to all future Kia Telluride buyers. BUYER BEWARE!Jeff Wyler Superior Kia Response

Based on what you are describing and your internet research, you need to file a complaint with Kia Motors. Try calling their customer service number. We as the dealer cannot make the decision to pay for your windshield. That would need Kia approval.Review from Mike S

This dealer is a prime example of why car dealerships get a bad name. Dishonesty, pushy, close the sale move on. We purchased a new to us vehicle from Wyler. Within 2 months the vehicle is having major transmission and suspension issues, it’s a 1 owner 2019 with 53k miles! Granted I know some items are out of control and excluded from warranty ( which was made rudely clear). I have been passed around from sales men to used car sales managers, I get no response , when I did talk the first words were ( didn’t get the extended warranty ) not let’s work to get this resolved. I have waited for answers , I get none , I have reached out to general manager of the store , I get no response. Do yourself a favor and don’t make the same mistake I did by using Wyler superior look for a more reputable dealership that truly believes in helping its customers.Jeff Wyler Superior Kia Response

We have made contact with the customer. He has already had the vehicle repaired at a **** Dealer. It was still under the **** Factory Warranty and they took care of it. I am the GM and have no record of contact from the customer. However, I have been on vacation since March 5 and returned today March 21.Review from D. G.

I wish I would have read these before we went to purchase a vehicle. The MSRP price was $43,451 and they tacked on $1,948 that we were not able to deny. Some of that was embedded in the signing of documents that we didn't even see was added on and was not told about it when we discussed price. Yes we were idiots for buying it but I will never recommend them. Brandy the salesperson was very rude. And they took away us getting our weathered mats after we signed the papers... she told us after our signature was already on there. WORST DEALERSHIP EVER!Jeff Wyler Superior Kia Response

Thank you for taking time to comment/review our dealership. We value your input. The issue with the all weather mats must have been confusing. I am told that you said you did not want the mats that we added, so therefore, we removed them. It would be reasonable that if you did not want to pay for them, they would be removed. Sorry for the misunderstanding.Customer Response

That's what I would say too to try and make a customer look wrong... Let me just put it in perspective for ya... When we were on our way to the dealership, we were told that $3k would be tacked on the price. We hadn't planned on financing through you all but we were told if we did that they would work with us and make it $1,999 instead of the $3k. When we were discussing the price, they had the full $3k. We said that was not what we were told on the phone. They said they would work with us and help us. So when we decided to finance through you all they made the price $1,400 that they added on. We were shocked they took off extra so we signed the papers to make that deal. Once my husband signed, ****** stated that we would not be receiving the weather mats since we took the price down. She NEVER once told us the weather mats would be removed from our car since the price went down. We were under the impression that they were helping with the price and that we would keep everything. Poor communication on your alls part. I got mad and she stated, "wow, I've never seen a person get mad over weather mats." I got mad because no one said they would be taken away until after the paper was signed.Review from Qiantria M

I’ve been having issues with Jeff Wyler Kia the entire year. At first it was my oil consumption which I was advised no longer fell under the warranty but they advised me a recall was on my engine. I’ve asked numerous times for them to fix it but was told until the engine blew, they couldn’t do anything about it. I don’t understand this when the recall falls on their shoulders. Now my car engine has blown, they can’t get to my car for another 6 weeks & they didn’t offer a loaner! KIA WILL NEVER GET MY BUSINESS AGAIN!Jeff Wyler Superior Kia Response

We apologize for the inconvenience. We only follow the policies and procedures set forth by Kia and that is why we had to wait till the engine failed. We have a wait period for cars to be repaired just like all other Kia dealers in the region. Feel to contact Kia Consumer Affairs at ************ regarding reimbursement for a rental vehicle.Review from Jamie C

Do not recommend buying here. No respect for women. Lie after lie I have the paperwork to prove it. Save your money and time and find a better car that doesn't use 3 quarts of oil every 1k miles and motor blows with you stranded. Not one call back from anyone regarding my car for months. When it finally got fixed more lies say it cost 10k in parts and 20k in labor which is more than the car cost. New motor $3900 from their website. You figure that out. Left my car a mess with grease all over the stearing wheel and finger prints all over the car. Real professional guys.Jeff Wyler Superior Kia Response

My lease on my 2020 ************** is coming up. I have questions regarding the plates for the car. I tried for one week, leaving a total of 6 messages with 4 different people. No one ever returned my call. I finally called *** ******* and got the answer in 5 minutes. Also have major problems when trying to schedule service. No one ever answers the phone and the online scheduling doesn't work. This dealership definitely needs some major improvements.Review from joanne h

****** ******** To: Moe S*****, rep Sun, Jun 12 at 7:36 PM As I explained earlier, I'm no longer interested in working with your company, Jeff Wyler Superior Kia. The bait and switch stinks. I was told there were both new and used Kia Souls on the lot. I made an appointment for this afternoon 6/12, at 2pm. I drove from Northgate and my son and daughter-in-law drove up from Ft. Wright so we could get one of those cars, one of them could drive it home and I could return the rental. Salesmen denied any knowledge of any Souls on lot, new or used and said whoever told me that was mistaken. Seems there is a built -in bait -and-switch tactic. Or at best a very inaccurate inventory control process. I was a repeat customer, but now I am definitely not going back or recommending that dealership to anyone any longer. I will be sending a copy of this to BBB, head of your sales department, and posting on F*******. I know times are tough in the world right now, but dishonesty and sneaky business practices will not improve things. ****** ********Jeff Wyler Superior Kia Response

*******************, I am sorry to hear of your unfortunate circumstance while visiting our dealership. With inventories as tight as they are these days we have vehicles come in one day, sell later that day and are still showing on our inventory for a day or two. Our BDC Rep should have checked and personally touched the vehicle you were interested in. I hate to lose your long time commitment to our dealership. Maybe you can give us another try next time you need service or another vehicle. If you would like to discuss further, feel freee to reach out to me at ************. ***********************, General Manager.Review from Sara K

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP** I ordered a Kia ********* in August. Sales people stopped returning my emails so I called the dealership directly and they were bought out by Jeff Wyler Kia and canceled all orders? Really? Who does that and doesn't inform people about it? Something very fishy and unethical is going on at this dealership. Don't waste your time. I've been waiting 7 months for a car and now I have nothing unless I want to pay their markup on a vehicle or wait again for an ordered one.Jeff Wyler Superior Kia Response
