On April 24th, 2023, due to financial issues as well as no longer wishing to travel to the business I called the New Albany location to CANCEL my membership. During this call I clearly specified I DID NOT wish to place my membership on a freeze/pause to be reinstated and wish for the membership to be CANCELLED and no longer ongoing.
I no longer have access to my online account even with troubleshooting on the website or mobile app to be able to self service this cancelation which is why I called the location directly. I received an email stating my membership was paused and would continue charging July 20th, 2023. I then called the location again late July with no answer and left a voicemail detailing the above and again requesting to cancel my account.
Due to loss of trust with my first interaction I also called the Powell location (9170 W Olentangy St Suite N, Powell, OH 43065 | ###-###-####) leaving another voicemail detailing my experience and distrust for the New Albany location and that I wish for my membership to be cancelled.
Since this, I've had to replace my debit card twice, due to the first time changing my card they were able to find my new card # without my knowledge. I have since worked with my bank to hard close my card for a new # once again with RockBox unable to access payments.
I am now receiving emails for past due payments and calls from the membership department trying to collect on the membership. I have called the membership department twice. First time I was sent to leave a voicemail with no callback.
I received an email again today 11/3/2023 stating I was past due. I successfully reached the membership department and spoke to an agent stating the best solution would be for me to physically go to the location. As this does not seem like a safe situation to put myself in and I have lost total trust with this company I do not wish to step inside an establishment that I can not trust when i have done everything i can to cancel.
