    Pattern of Complaint:

    BBB files indicate this business has a pattern of complaints concerning:

    1. Misrepresentation-many customers report that they purchased the home warranty based on the fact that the salesperson stated Amazon Home Warranty is part of Amazon.com.

    2. Poor Customer Service-Customers report that customer service representatives are not able to be reached by phone or email.  Several numbers supplied with warranty information are no longer in service.  Website is not able to be utilized to file complaints.
    Customers also report that they are told there are not techs in their area.  They are told to find their own tech for repairs, only to find their claims denied for reimbursement.

    3. Reimbursement- Customers report they are being offered far below market value for repairs they have paid for and/or appliance replacement.

    4. Denial of claims-Customers report claims are being denied, even though under their contract they should be covered.

    5. Amazon Home Warranty has stopped replying to BBB complaints.

    BBB informed the company of these issues in writing on 1-10-23, 1-20-23, 4-19-23 and 7-1-24.  The business has not responded.  

    On 9-27-23 BBB became aware that Amazon Home Warranty, LLC's website is no longer active.

    BBB will continue to monitor activity and update the BBB Business Profile as needed.

      I am a Prime membership holder I have an active membership with Amazon which I paid for the same night because I wanted to have my package to me the very next day since I had my niece coming over who has cancer and the one thing she wanted me to do was her nails which I needed the things to do them with so I thought it was worth it to make this little girl happy. The doctor has given her 6 months to live so I don't think that her mom is going to allow her to come here again nor me to be able to go to the hospital since she cannot have people around her due to her illness. I was told at first that my package would be late but not until today was I told this. Then it was late at night before I decided to contact Amazon chat I did not explain the reason behind needing this when they said I should not have to pay for a membership to have things get to me on time but then they said another 3 days, customer service says just wait on it, I call in because no one seems to know where it is or when it will be here. I then speak to a manager because the one lady who seems to get why I am upset but still cannot imagine entirely why I am mad but then management says I am sorry but we cannot help You. They cannot help me when I pay for a membership, when they promise a day and time, when they have done this multiple times before but there is not one thing they can do to be certain it is here on time. But if I were to repay for this then I can have it here tomorrow but since I ordered it yesterday with a promise of today I won't get it by the 17th. There is something wrong with this.

      I purchased three years home warrantry from Amazon home warranty. I have issues with my dishwasher and my HVAC system but Amazon Home warranty is now out of business. There is no email or phone number to file my claim. There are in violation of contract, which expires for me 2025.

      On 11/16/21, I purchased (renewed) a home warranty, paying $1,470 for an extended timeframe plan (with coverage set to expire 3/26/25). Today 9/12/24 I needed service for a broken appliance and the telephone number and website for AHW are defunct. I read some online that AHW went out of business last year 2023!How can I get my money back? Thank you for your assistance.

      I purchased home warranty protection from Amazon Home Warranty. In July 2024, I attempted to make a claim and found that the company is no longer reachable. The website is no longer up and the claims phone number no longer goes to AHW. My contract is for coverage through 12/12/2025. I'm seeking a refund of my $1425 premium which I paid in full to AHW.Note: The attached confirmation letter notes the purchase date as 4/12/2019. That is the date of the original plan purchase. The package was renewed on 8/11/2022 for three years which is the $1425 to cover through 12/12/2025.

      I have paid lumpsum amount to the amazon home warranty for 3 years of warranty. not even a single claim has been honored and I tried to file critical claims, but no website is functioning. When my AC unit is failed, my family has to suffer for a week, and I paid ***** to fix it. When there is a master bedroom toilet leak, they did not cover it. I have to pay 3500 from my pocket to fix it. FRAUDster company.

      I bought an item on amazon which recently had a malfunction, I tried to get support from the manufacturer but didn't get any response, amazon couldn't help me either, my item was still in warranty when I contacted the manufacturer, again, to no response.

      Unable to contact the company to honor my home warranty request for a non-operational hot water heater. Submitted claim via website on March 27 claim # ***** and never heard anything from them. Attempted to call phone # listed in contract no answer. Paid out of pocket for new hot water heater $5425.00

      Purchased 3 year home insurance on 10-13-2022 with an expiry of 05-12-2026. They seem to have disappeared. My AC needs repair and now not only am I $1500 short, but now I come to find I have no coverage. Please advise. Is there a possible recourse?

      Hi, I purchased a Home warranty plan for appliances at my home in 2022 for a 3-year warranty plan till 2025 with Amazon home warranty for almost 1300$. I can now not contact them or even login to the website to look at my policy or claim for repair service. To protect my appliances now I need to purchase another home warranty from a different company which will cost me money again. Looks like this company is out of business or something. They didn't even bother to send an email or communicate with the customers about this closure. I am at loss of money due to selecting them.

      I have a contract for home warranty for the past several years. I have placed several claims, the last 3 have all been denied for one reason or another. Recently place a new claim for a freezer in my contract, but now all methods to contact AHW return as not valid. Phone disconnected, email address not valid, etc.
