      I ordered a 12 x 21 carport in oct **************************************************************** 8 weeks. It's now march 2022 and no word from them. I called the manufacturer that Behr's uses and they told me that my order was cancelled and to contact Behrs to find out why.

      My husband and I submitted an order for a building in July of 2021. We put down a deposit of just over $1200 and awaited the arrival of our building. We submitted a request for a permit to the city. The city denied our permit, citing that the company who was building must submit the permit request. We attempted to contact the company who sold us the building, Behr Buildings. The sales representative, Eric, refused to answer our call, return our emails, or do anything to point us in the right direction of who to contact. Without help or direction, we finally did our research and found the company who was actually going to be doing the building, ******** *****. They were more than helpful with re-processing our application for a permit. Unfortunately, due to zoning laws out of our control, the permit was ultimately denied. We attempted, with no avail, to again contact the representative from Behr Buildings to see how we can go about getting a refund (or at least partial refund) of our deposit. Again Zack chose not to return multiple calls and emails. We eventually contacted the company directly and we’re able to connect with the owner, Zack. We were told that it was too bad, and we signed a contract so we would not be receiving any refund. He said we were not able to receive a refund because it was paid out as commission to the sales person, Eric. The same representative that ignored our calls and e-mails time and time again. I asked what exactly he had done to earn our deposit, and was told that “once we have the money, it’s none of your business.” Zack, the owner, was unprofessional and rude, This company is unethical, and has no sense of customer service or morals. What they are doing to their trusting customers is wrong. Based on other reviews I’ve seen, we’re not alone in our experience. We are now left without our money and without our building. I have never been so disgusted with a company.

      Thank you for taking the time to share your sales experience with Behr’s Buildings. We are sorry the city declined your request for the building permit. Communication is a top priority, and we will further investigate any short fall on this transaction. The contract agreed to and signed by all parties clearly spells out that permitting is fully the responsibility of the purchaser and the deposit is non-refundable if a permit is not issued.  The non-delivery of the building up to this point is strictly due to the customers inability to obtain a building permit.  The contract also clearly names which manufacture will be used for the build. The initial deposit is applied to several upfront costs associated with getting an order started, commissions being only a small part. The deposit is non-refundable as these hard costs are paid out at the time of order. Zach did reach back out to offer a deposit credit that could be applied toward a future purchase as a measure of good will. Again, we are sorry this build did not work out. Please feel free to reach back out to use this credit if the zoning issue can be resolved.

       

      Attached is the signed contract detailing the agreed upon terms mentioned above.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      This company is not only engaging in unethical business practices, but is now also harassing us. They took the time to go out of their way to research me, where I work, and send my husband harassing text messages about MY place of employment. The unprofessionalism from this company is astounding and unsettling. This only goes to further show that this company is not to be trusted, and until we come to a resolution, I will continue telling anyone who will listen about the horrors of working with them.  The only resolution of this matter is a full refund of our deposit.

      Put a down payment 2 years ago. Was never sent a contract. Was told by Behr's publicly (Check their own ****** Reviews comment on my review) that they would refund my deposit. 2 years later, still no refund.

      On April 26, 2021 I was in contact with ********************* via email and text messages *************) and paid a deposit for a metal garage to be purchased from Behrs Buildings. On April 29, 2021 I paid a $1,000 deposit. On July 18, 2021 I tried to get back in touch with him to cancel this order because there were some issues that came up with completing the concrete pad that was suppose to be done for the building to set on. Between that time and October 2021 I had sent multiple text messages and emails without any further corresponds. On October 13, 2021 I received a text message from a different person (they never gave me a name but the number is ************) wanting to check on the status of my purchase agreement. At that time I requested a refund but they said they were unable to help me with that. On October 26 that person was suppose to contact TNT (a company that I have no idea who or what they do) about the refund. I still have no got a response from anyone about this.

      Placed an order through berhs buildings fir a steel garage. Talked with Edward ****** salesman fir berhs. I clearly asked him 3 times if this was suitable for the snow load in my area of Michigan and was told yes. The building is being manufactured by reliable buildings and they tell me it's not. They need more money for site specific plans, which I am willing to pay, but not up front after being lied to by their sales firm. Tried to work with reliable ti have thus added to the payoff after installation. They refuse and want it up front.

      Mr. ****** directed the customer to please reach out to his building officials to verify the snow load and other restrictions relative to his area. We informed the customer that the codes can change city to city or township to township. Any codes or restrictions that require changes to the standard building would have fees billed directly to the customer. Attached is his contract detailing this information.  I have also inserted a section (below) from his signed contract that clearly informs the customer of these details. Reliable Metal Buildings is simply asking the customer to take care of those changes to the contract that he is asking us to make due to his local building requirements. The site-specific drawings he is requesting is an upfront cost that must be paid to Reliable Metal Buildings prior to moving forward with the delivery of the structure. If he has agreed to pay for the drawings that is all that needs to be done to move forward with the delivery process.  On his attached contract it also clearly states that Reliable Metal Buildings is the manufacturer of the structure.

      a) The customer must provide the builder with a FLAT
      and LEVEL surface upon which to install the
      structure, free of debris and obstructions.

      b) It is the sole responsibility of the customer to
      inquire with their local municipalities to determine

      zoning restrictions apply, etc.

      c) Such inquiries are to be made prior to signing and
      submitting the order to Behrs Buildings.

      d) The customer MUST contact their manufacturer,

      On April 16th, 2021 I purchased a metal building through this company. I received a contract that said the lead time for delivery would be 2 - 12 weeks. I paid a deposit of $236.20. I have had several contacts with this company and I continue to “get the run around”. Excuse after excuse. It’s is now 8 months and still no building. I have decided that all I want is to be reimbursed my deposit and end my relationship with this company and cancel the building. I feel I have been patient long enough. I believe I was misled and even though the contract says the deposit is non refundable they also said the building would be here in max 12 weeks. I am frustrated and 8 months plus is unacceptable. Thank you for your time and consideration in the matter. I am hoping you can resolve my situation. ******* * ********

      The consumer informed BBB that he has spoken with the company.  The business apologized and told him that they would refund his money.  

      The consumer considers the matter resolved as long as he receives the refund.

      End of March 2021 I contacted ************************* salesmen with behrs building to get pricing on a 1 stall small steel garage. Mailed a deposit of $475.20. on April 1st 2021. Signed an on line contract with hellosign on April 4th 2021. Check was mailed to *************************** address at ****************************************. Contacted ************* may 3rd no call back. Emailed ******************* 13th asking if I'm to assume I've been ripped off. Emailed June 13th a ************************* at Behrs Building. ************* asked who salesmen was, I answered. June 14th ************* emailed me with info telling me to contact scheduling and delivery for any questions. ************. After calling many times no response ever. Emailed ************* August 23rd telling him his *************** never calls me back. I'm tired of the run around I want my deposit back of $475.20. I also emailed ************************* of Behrs Buildings asking for a refund. To this date Dec 27th 2021 I've never had a response from ************* or anyone from Behrs Building. And no refund. I understand it's been a few months since I last contacted Behrs Buildings, I've just been frustrated and not knowing what to do. Thank you

       I am rejecting this response because:I emailed Behr building last week after Zach called me many times. I explained that the only resolution to this issue is a refund of $475.20. why would I want to do business with a company that has ignored me for now it's 9 months why would I give them more money. Zach will not quite calling me. I feel harassed now..Just send my money back.

      She may be emailing her sale agent, but the Behrs **************** has never received an email form her.  I have been calling her to discuss the details of her order. In no way was I harassing her I was simply attempting to gather some information about her order. She has never returned any of my phone calls. We get her order processed for a refund.

      I wanted to let you know I received a full refund from Behr Buildings today. Also I wanted to thank you for all your help in resolving this matter. And I will always check a business BBB rating from now on.
