If I could give them negative stars I would. We ended up using Oscar Contracting as a contractor through the City of Canton's Community Development Block Grant Program the end of March 2023. From day 1 there were problems, some required them to remove shingles and replace decking hours after having just installed them. They have covered up multiple decking issues damages to vent stacks they ignored, and intentionally withheld the extent of damages under the old roof. Our front porch roof has a big sag in it where instead of fixing the rafters, they just patched new sheathing in on top the same damaged rafters. The rest of the roof has multiple locations without underlayment, just shingles on original decking from 1916. The weather was in the 30's and below at night and none of the shingles were sealed properly. After multiple requests for a materials list for insurance purposes we have yet to receive anything. 2 days after they installed the roof there was big sections of shingles flapping up on my dormers and ridge vent. They did come out and "fix" them, but several months later and the ridge vent is leaking again. They came out last week to fix the ridge vent again as it was/is separated from the roof by several inches in places, it is buckling others, shingles are missing on the top of it. I can not see a single difference from how it was prior to their coming to fix it, and my roof is still leaking. The entire roof is improperly installed, seams line up, nails are either not driven in far enough causing the shingles to lift up, or are in so far they just ripped right through the top shingle. There is a clear wavy pattern along my rakes and along my eves which was supposed to be addressed for a third time and it was never completed. Repairs have been made in which an old broken piece of decking was nailed to the side of a broken rafter as a means of sistering it. My gutters were damaged from ladders and their dump trailer broke our original bluestone sidewalk.
