In May 2023, Tri Area Electric cam to my home to evaluate two small jobs. One was a light post in the front yard that has blown over, the second was repair of two GFCI outlets. This is the second time Tri Area Electric was hired for a job at my home, the first time was a bigger job and the work was completed to satisfaction and timely. On the other hand, this job was by no means timely. Tri Area Electric came to my home in May 2023 to evaluate and provide a quote also stating they would be back within the next week for completion of requested work. I purchased the supplies as requested and despite many calls and requests for a return call, Tri Area Electric provided no response. At this point, two months had elapsed and I was ghosted! It wasn't until July 10, 2023, when a return call prior to the end of the next day. I received a phone call from the owner that day who sent his son to complete the work. Prior to completion of work on July 11, 2023, there was no definitive decision on when payment was expected. I received n invoice that day and on July 21, 2023, just 10 days later I placed a check in the mail to Tri Area electric.Later that day, the owner, arrived at my house requesting payment. I informed him I had put a check in the mail that day and his reply was "I'd just like to get my boy paid." A company of the size of Tri Area Electric and in business for more than 46 years, this according to the website, should have enough money to pay their employees with or without my check in hand. I made payment within a perfectly acceptable timeframe and there is no reason the owner should have come my my door asking for a check when one had been placed in the mail. Like I stated before, they had been to my home before and there was no issue with payment, therefore no issues should be anticipated this time. AWFUL business tactic!
