I had an appointment with this company due to a sciatic issue. I was told through Facebook messenger that I would receive "a consultation evaluation full spinal exam+ the follow up visit with the results and the initial decompression for just $47".
When I arrived, I was put in the exam room and all along was told that I would receive "treatment" after the exam and x-ray.
Suddenly, the chiropractor told me to bring my stuff and come to the front desk. It was then that I was told that treatment didn't come with the $47 special. I told them about the message and post saying that the initial decompression was included, the receptionist asked to see the message and even took a photo of it. Iwas again told, sorry, there is nothing we can do. I told them I was in pain and that, considering I had taken off work early and told I would get a treatment, could I just pay my $40 co-pay and get the treatment (which I didn't really understand the logic, but they were saying the "special" didn't include treatment so I thought maybe using my insurance would help). I was told no, there would be no treatment today.
When asking about the message I received, I was told that was their marketing agency and incorrect. I showed that the message came directly from the office's Facebook page and was again told that it was their marketing company and there was nothing they could do about it.
I told her I didn't feel I should have to pay considering I didn't receive any treatment and she seemed shocked. I finally agreed to pay my $40 co-pay and walked out, still in pain, telling them I would not be back.
I would like my $40 back and for them to not submit a claim to my insurance company so I can see a different chiropractor.
I am likely not going to be allowed to have another insurance claim right away and I need treatment immediately.
