I contacted Morrow Funeral Home when my mother passed away at the end of October 2021. I worked with a gentleman named *****. They picked up my mom (********* ** *******) and performed cremation services. We were in a holding pattern for death certificates, and I thought payment was due when they were complete. No one ever communicated, and I have never received and invoice (I have requested one many times). I still need to pay the funeral home and have my Mom's ashes sent to me. In March, ***** let me know the Death Certificate was ready, and I could purchase them. He then told me no one has taken this long to pay for a funeral. I reminded him that I have not received an invoice nor my mom's ashes. He stopped responding to me at that point. No one from the funeral home will respond to my texts, phone calls, nor emails. I don't know if I should contact an attorney? It seems a bit weird to be begging for a detailed invoice to pay a bill and receive my Mother's ashes. I am grieving and lost what to do next. I am not trying to avoid paying my debt. I would like to receive an itemized (by date) invoice and my mother's ashes mailed to me. I will pay as soon as I have a tracking number she is enroute (only because I am gun shy at this point). I would be willing to pay half before receiving her and the rest upon receipt. I have an open case with FEMA because this was a COVID-19 death, and they require detailed information, but I can't even get an invoice nor communication. Thank you for any assistance. This is an attempt to resolve an issue, not hurt anyone.
