Called Jerry and set an appointment to have him come and look at our project and give us written numbers. Jerry came out and looked at the project and gave us numbers in a timely manner. After looking the numbers over me and my wife felt comfortable and decided to move forward, Jerry called and said I need 5000 down for the windows to get ordered and they will take 6to8 weeks. I get a text from Jerry asking what stone we preferred and we told him which one. Then he mentioned seven windows and we only needed 3 windows replaced. That got me thinking if we made the right decision by hiring Jerry. He said not a problem, he would only order 3 and adjust the price of the contract and I wasn’t worried about a refund at that time, because he was going to do the work and we could just adjust when I paid him his first draw. Then he texted again about wanting to come out and take the measurements again and now I’m loosing faith in his ability but I’m 5000 in. Now the waiting for the windows……….. the next phone call I get is from the lumber yard telling me they needed to schedule a time to drop off the windows and I asked if they had called my contractor and coordinated that with him…… this is where it took a turn….. she informed me Jerry had been in an accident and had lost a finger and was going to be out for a while, I absolutely hate hearing that and would definitely understand that he would not be able to get me done right away. I don’t understand why the lumber yard lady is the one that needs to tell Jerry’s customers he will not be able to get to their job, would have expected a call or text from my contractor! After texting Jerry, I get a text back saying he is retiring from construction and no longer able to work on my project and could pass me off to another contractor but they would need to come rebid. I told Jerry let’s settle up and I have the invoice from the windows ……… crickets ?? voicemail or no reply. So small claims next after filing with the BBB. Hate this!
