I had to dispute the balance before and it was corrected back down to zero. Now all of a sudden there is a $52 balance on my credit. They are known for doing this. There is multiple complaints against them for this exact thing.

This account was involved with the recovery of the unit.  Since the unit was able to be repurchased by the selling dealer the account was closed, and all outstanding balances were forgiven.  The closing date of the account was July 10, 2023, with a zero balance.  Since that time the account has been inactive and closed and has not reported to the credit bureaus.  We have received two disputes in the last week reporting the account had an active balance it was confirmed with Equifax and *********** that the balance on account is zero and the account is closed as we originally reported to them July 2023.

I was buying a 2018 equinox from regal/saber acceptance. My husband had to go in the hospital for a week and have a pic line in for another 2 weeks. They agreed to work with me and gave me a deferral cause I got a little behind, mind you I pay weekly. So I pay them ****** July 13th and I pay another payment of ****** July 19th all while staying in contact and being told it was fine. I attempted to pay what I was behind in full on the 20th and my account was locked. I contacted **** several times after that by email explaining that I was working a new job and the payment options were money gram or go into regal. Regal was closed every time I went by . I work business hours as well and money gram wouldnt take my card. This was the day before they showed up at my work to repo my car claiming they had not recieved a payment in 19 days and that he recieved a email but it was blank. I have proof both are untrue. Moving forward, the day they repoed my car I was told I could get my car back for 460 dollars, the very next day I was told it was 944 plus the next payment of 179 before I could get the car back. I just started my new job so I could cover some of the bills that got behind from my husband being sick. Im not sure what if anything I can do but this isnt how you do people. Legally this should be against the law and morally this is not a good company to do business with if they constantly lie and treat people that buy the cars to pay their paychecks.

This company does not report accurately or monthly to any credit bureaus . I was told before signing the agreement this car *** would report accurately to all 3. They only report to 1-2 and never accurately which is making my credit worse ! I checked my credit reports and balance showed ******** but my account and balance/ledger shows ***** which shows they are Atleast 3-4+ months behind on reporting . I have never missed a biweekly payment on my loan.

      Business response

Saber Acceptance has only reported to *********** and Equifax on behalf of our customers, the current balance reported on ************** account as of last monthly reporting (6/30/2024) was $6,439.48.  If *********** or Equifax is reporting something different, please file a dispute and we will correct the outstanding balance with them.

I am not a happy customer Ive have tried to work with your ********************** many many times letting them know I now have a new job and no one seems to give a c*** about that. Welcome to the real world where people change jobs to change their lifes and the facts that yall dont help or compensate to the payment dates is ridiculous and if its repoed again I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING ON MY CREDIT AND WILL BE DISPUTED.

We must report your account as it is paid to the credit reporting agencies. As long as you pay well in the future it should report well on your credit report.

***y are still trying to make me pay on the vehicle even though there is something wrong with the vehicle. ***y have a warranty that covers up to ****** miles. *** resolution would be to not make any payments until the car is completely fixed or to put me in another car or give me my money back including my down payment.

      Customer response

They took my vehicle and I didn't get a receipt from the tow company. Also when they sold me the vehicle they messed up the title. They put me down as the owner and not the lienholder. I would like my car back.

      Business response

      08/01/2024

Due to the terms of the contract being in default for non-payment. The contract`s provisions for default were applied in this matter. The car will not be returned.

They are in violation of the gramm ***** ****** act . The gramm ***** ****** act states that Before a financial institution discloses nonpublic personal information about any of its consumers to a nonaffiliated third party, and an exception in section 14 or 15 does not apply, then the financial institution must provide to the consumer:* an initial notice of its privacy policies and practices;* an opt out notice (including, among other things, a reasonable means to opt out); and a reasonable opportunity, before the financial institution discloses the information to the nonaffiliated third party, to opt out.I never receive any privacy notice nor the option to opt out before or after the transaction. Furthermore, they are reporting several inaccuracies on my credit report. They are reporting a balance to one bureau and a zero balance on the other. They are reporting late payments the same month as the charge off month and late payments after the charge off date(both of them ).While at the same time reporting no late payments to the other bureau . They are reporting 2 different dates for the last payment date. All while reporting the written off status to only one bureau. They are in violation of 15 USC 1681n which comes with a fine of $1000 per violation. #1 on my list is having the account DELETED from the credit bureaus. The inaccuracies has caused so much damage.

Your contract was in default which caused repossession.  We are complaint with all laws and regulations. As a goodwill measure, we will submit to the credit bureaus to delete your account

Saber Acceptance sent me a 1099C which is the form for cancellation of debt. They then sent a repo man out to attempt and take my car but I had the 1099C so the man put my car down and allowed me to keep it. Upon further checking I also noticed on my credit report that the same amount that they sent me the 1099C for was on my background and it also stated that the account had been closed. It also stated it had been wrote as a profit and loss write off. Im attempting to get the lien on the title released due to all of the factors with the car and legal forms being sent out such as the 1099C. Its been over a year and I havent heard anything.

      Business response

      ******************:

Two 1099C were mailed last year in reference to your account.  The first did state we were reporting the debt in January 2023, however due to communication error all 1099C issued by Saber Acceptance were not reported to the *** by our company.  We mailed a corrected 1099C in February 2023 stating that nothing was reported to the ***.  We are willing to release the debt if you would release the 2015 ******* Elantra (vin ******) that you have been hiding since September 2022.   The last payment received on this account was 8/17/22 and the account is currently 508 days past due.

      Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: First off nobody is hiding the car from youll, lady I checked the debt was cancelled. You dont just accidentally send out a 1099C, same way you dont just accidentally mark the account as closed on my credit report.  Youll employee ********** informed me yesterday that long as I filed the 1099C that I would get my lien release via email or via my address. Which therefore means a miscommunication happened yet again, so what are the next steps ? I cant undo whats already done but at this point I deserve my lien release. ***** have made mistake after mistake obviously, and I shouldnt have to pay for something where the debt was cancelled. Not to mention the account is already labeled as closed on my credit report. I have audio of youll employee stating that I had to file the 1099C and then I could get my lien release. Please just do the right thing for once.

      Customer response

      01/23/2024

I am rejecting this response because: Right just like I figured bring us the car. Yet youll cant address what your employee said nor can youll really give a good explanation for how youll accidentally sent a filled out ****c form. I think its unfair and unjust how youll see the mistake was made, and then youll employee made another mistake just as of yesterday yet I still cant get my lien release. Please provide me with my lien release as soon as possible.

I purchased a car in 2022 all the information we received about the vehicle was wrong so we fell behind on a payment after that they repossessed the car in October of 2022. I finally have the account closed on my credit report but it's still showing the late payments. I need those deleted off of my credit report.

      Business response

the account was showing correctly but we went ahead and made your requested corrections 5/3, please be patient as it take the credit bureaus awhile to report the new data

      Business response

the car is out of warranty, we are not going to fix the engine in this car, we need full up to date payments for the collateral protection insurance, as the car was not insured, we need the payment in full for all past due payments, and a promise to make all insurance and future payments on time to release the car back to our customer.
