I decided to get a membership for a massage where I had recently relocated in **. I had had a previous membership in another state. I started in Jan 2024 and in June cancelled because I leave the country for several months. They stated I had 2 massages left and need to be used up within 90 days. They had taken out $89.95 per month and I had 2 months left, so the value I ALREADY PAID OUT OF MY ACCOUNT was $179.90 of MY MONEY that was left at the facility! I made an appt to combine the balance on a massage before expiration but forgot I had just had surgery 3-4 weeks ago and checked with my surgeon if it would be OK and he said not not until he can clear me for this. So, I called and cancelled the appt. A week or two later I called to see if I can freeze that expiration date because 1. My ** said I am not able to and 2. I am leaving out of the country for several months. They told me its policy you loose your balance if you don't use it. I asked to speak with a Manager and an Assistant Mgr came on the line and told me the same thing. I asked why they can't give me a gift card for a future use and have a happy customer who would consider coming back when I return, they said NO they cannot!! Where I come from the Customer if why you have a business, and if I have to eat some $$$ to make it right when it's not my fault (Surgery was done) then I would compensate that client as they took my MONEY already. Why should I get penalized for something I have no control over if I had to have a surgery. THIS IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS practices. I will NOT return nor recommend them since they are not willing to work with me.
