    We originally hired ***** in September 2021 to do a bathtub refinish. Work was completed as scheduled, but the following day, we noticed some product malfunction. We informed ***** of this that same day, to which he replied he could repair the next time he was in town. Over the course of the following 5 months, we have documentation of at least half a dozen attempts to get in touch with him to get this resolved with no response. In March 2022, we informed him one final time that we were going to initiate a complaint with the ************************************* (***) if this was not resolved. When we did not get any response to this notice, we did in fact initiate that complaint with the **** ********** requires a 30 day official notice to be sent to the contractor before the complaint becomes official, allowing them that window to resolve the issue without ***s involvement. On the very last day of that 30 day window, we did finally receive a note from ***** offering a single day to make the repair, despite the fact that we had now said we were no longer interested in him repairing the work but rather giving us a small partial refund of what we paid. We reiterated to him our stance on the repair vs partial refund and allowed him one final opportunity to resolve before the *** complaint became official. When no response was received, we filed the complaint paperwork with **** We started the process with *** (see ********** website records for Gaffke Enterprises for record of this complaint), but ultimately opted to withdraw the complaint because we felt the small refund we were asking for didnt warrant the small claims court process/costs that would have been required.     Unfortunately there was no making ********** happy, even though he was happy with my work and signed the receipt of work completed after inspecting my work. They called and informed me of a small run they found. I told them it was just a blemish and didn't effect the integrity of the work done. I also told them next time I came to ****** I would buff out the run. Then I received an email demanding money back or they would complain to the **** ********** wouldn't even let me buff out the run (15 min job). I told them I would buff out the run but wouldn't give money back until given the chance. ********** did complain to the *** and withdrew the complaint before we even got to mediation. He continues to try and make my company look bad by posting all over the internet. Look at my ******* list and home advisor reviews. I am human and not perfect but try to be in my work. I also stand behind my work, but wasn't given a chance to fix the small blemish.

    This comment by the business is absolutely not accurate. As stated in the original review, we have documentation of MANY attempts to contact to get resolved long before the *** complaint process was ever mentioned. The few times we did get a response was one excuse or another about why he couldn't come back to ******. I'm not trying to ruin anyone's business, but I will absolutely not stand for anybody making this issue my fault. This is bad business, pure and simple. He was given a chance (again, many chances) to make it right and continued to not do so.
