This company will offer and promise a lot but they do not really have control over getting your business seen. They just drop off some pamphlets that people can choose to use or not and they will harass you every 3 months even years later from random numbers to try to get you to sign up with them. The way the messages are worded. Also lets you know that they still have your billing information. Today I received a text that wasn't even The right script sent to me from a random number not associated on caller ID or from previous interactions with this company. They will talk over you gaslight you belittle you and act like you don't know what you're saying. If you ask any questions about the inappropriate business practices or their predatory marketing. But on the phone was so rude to me that I even lost my cool with him because it's obviously a scam from the way that they handle disputes to the way that they pretend that they've sent you your cards which they say can be proved through the mail room. But I think in court it would not. He also threatened to call the golf course to "let them know I was coming" which is pretty manipulative and sketchy in itself. If I'm so crazy and I have no idea what I'm talking about then why is almost every story above or below the same as mine? They even say that they're veterans if you're a veteran. They have already had a lawsuit that proves that all these things are true if you look it up. I filed a complaint with the *** because I think that's the only route that you can go with this company. If you've had issues with them in the past, I highly suggest you go that route. They right on here in a way that tries to rewrite perception so it can be reality. But in reality if it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it's a duck. If your business or a golf course don't do any business with this company.

I have requested to be removed from this companies advertising and solicitations for over three years and continue to be contacted by phone and email. Despite replying to their emails with "remove" per the small print at the bottom of the emails and requesting by phone to be removed. We advertised with them in 2019 and spent $395.00. Account #*******. We were told our company name would appear on a specific golf course Scorecard from June 2019 thru June 2020. Not only did our advertisements never appear at the ********************* in ********* , ** but the credit card used for payment was compromised two months later. It should be specifically mentioned that I use a service called Privacy; which allows consumers to create Virtual Credit Cards specific to individual merchants. The credit card number provided to Bench Craft was only given to Bench Craft, therefore an employee or someone who had access to their email or file system gained access to this information. Thankfully the card had a maximum limit of $400.00 so the payment did not go thru. I would strongly advise any local business to avoid Bench Craft Company.

Therefore we do not operate off of a list of businesses that Mr. ******** can be removed from. We have confirmed delivery of Mr. ********** 2019 purchase to the host golf course. To date, there is no record of any questions and or concerns from Mr. ******** through our customer service department. We welcome a phone call to our corporate office if Mr. ******** needs any further assistance. ************.  We consider this complaint closed.

      Complaint: 22342626

I am rejecting this response because:

The business denies receiving emails and phone calls of complaints that the items/services/advertisements for the specified golf course were not displayed.

In addition they claim they do not use auto dialers or email campaigns which is irrelevant in the case of a person requesting to be removed from marketing communications. When sales associates call they always reference that our business advertised in the past which provides evidence of internal documents and lack of tracking requests and removals.

Lastly the statement of the credit card being provided in ********************************************************* their response.

      Business response

      09/27/2024

      - We have no record of emails or phone calls to our customer service department regarding any questions or concerns about the ad space purchased in 2019. We have confirmed the advertisement was delivered to the host golf course

      - We have made note in our system that Mr. ******** has requested not to be contacted regarding advertising opportunities

      - We have no evidence or reason to believe the payment method Mr. ******** used in 2019 was used for another purchase without his knowledge or approval

If Mr. ******** needs any further assistance we ask that he contact our customer service department at *********************. All customer service inquires are logged.

Benchcraft charged my bank account unauthorized then told me they would issue a refund and then cancelled the refund after I had a refund receipt and everything. I want my $1185 refunded to my account. I never authorized them to take it out nor would I ever authorize a charge for a whole 2nd year of advertising when I havent even got 1 month of advertising yet.

Asked for approval to run my credit card. Told them I was driving and not able to look at any documents. Told me to just hit ok and nothing would be charged. In the time I waited to read what was being sent they tried to run my credit card for a location an hour away for advertising. Since reading this email and text I'm assuming the advertising I did agree to months ago is also a scam.Don't do business with this company They have the BBB logo on there website saying A+. It's a scam!!!!

A couple years ago I was contacted by phone with an offer to advertise for one year at a local golf course for the discounted sum of $295. I reluctantly agreed. I spoke to several customers and went a few times to see said scorecard advertisement, with no luck. I was further contacted about adding another advertisement at another golf course. I told them how disgusted I was with them, and told them not to bother me again. I have since been contacted by them several times from multiple phone numbers across the country. Most recently yesterday. I have threatened them with reporting to no avail. I want this to stop. I will be looking at the last two years credit card statements to look for fraudulent charges, having read othercomplaints. Please let me know all of the multiple companies they use to attempt to charge us.

On May 2, 2024 I was contacted by ***** at Bench Craft *** in ******* after he saw my name in the Chamber (signed up one day before). He sold me a story that there were several golf courses that had ads expiring for the current travel agent, and only ONE travel agent is in the course guide, scorecard, and tee marker for the contract of 1 year. I paid $1,385 to feature my travel business Cruise Planners- Live Life Travel now in ********** Golf course Course Guide, ********************* Golf course Scorecard, and ********************************* Tee Marker. I recorded all our calls and have him stating that I am supposed to be the ONLY travel agent for one year at each of these locations in the items I paid for. In June I get a printed copy of the Wolf Creek course guide and on one hole, I am featured, and in a later hole, another travel agent- FROM MY SAME COMPANY- has an ad. I immediately call ***** and have a recording where he tells me her contract was over and I should be the only agent listed. I then reach out to the agent- *******************************- who told me a completely different story. She was pitched the same exact thing at the beginning of 2024 and will be in the ad for one year. ***** stopped taking my calls, and when I called customer service, they wouldn't refund me anything and said that I had the front 9, she had the back 9 (no where in the contract or my phone recordings was that said). I asked multiple times for a refund, but the ** rep only offered to extend my contract 6 months on another course. I have not received a ROI yet, and now after seeing the way they run the business, I do not expect to. I have since read many complaints and see they are running a scam and believe I was a victim. I am asking for a full refund and any ads to be removed. I am a new business and this was a huge investment which I am now sure is a scam.

Scam company!! This company contacted me to pay them to advertise on a golf course score card. They told me that golf course was using the new card and that advertisement was up. They even sent me a fake copy of it. I went to the golf course to check and it was a totally different scorecard without my ad on it.

      Business response

      07/01/2024

We have contacted the host golf course and have verified that the current scorecard including **************** ad space is now available to all golfers in the pro-shop. This information was relayed to ************ by phone. It is unfortunate that ************ believes it is appropriate to call a business a "scam" as opposed to contacting the business with any questions or concerns. The matter was resolved within 45 minutes of being made aware of the situation. **************** ad time will run for 12 full months. We wish ************ the best. We consider this complaint closed.

Bench Craft Company contacted me offering me an advertisement slot for my business at a local golf course for $495 for the year back in March 2024. Then the next day offered all tournaments and 3 golf courses for additional $$790 for 3 courses and main sponsor of tournaments. 3 months later nothing no graphics no sponsorship, nothing. We have tried to reach out several times and different people call us back from different states about the graphics and other ads to purchase. Still nothing and they wont return our call. They gave us a number to contact them but its a generic number with a generic recording.

      Business response

      06/03/2024

************** did in fact receive graphics and requested an update to the graphics. She subsequently approved the artwork and her ads went to production. ************** contacted a sales rep for status of the ads and was correctly directed to the customer service phone number. ************** left a message 1 day ago over the weekend. We contacted ************** today to address her questions. She informed us that she sees things as a "glass half empty" as opposed to a "glass half full". It is unfortunate that ************** and her wife **** chose to post erroneous claims online instead of simply calling our customer service department during normal business hours. We have now addressed her concerns and consider this complaint closed.

This company called me to promote ads on a golf course nearby. I paid over $1000 for space on their golf course. After 3 months of not seeing any progress I called ***** (one of the reps) to ask about it. He was incredibly rude and litteraly told me "I don't have time for this sh***" I can tell you that a professional company would never communicate in that manner. I can see how their sales people are training specifically to control the situation and intimidate. I notice that there are several lawsuits already against them and I'm plannin to seek legal advise to follow up with a suit.Don't be fooled by them!

      Business response

      05/24/2024

We have contacted **************** in order to address his concerns. We have apologized to **************** for any harsh language that was used during communication with him. We apologize **************** is so deeply offended. **************** is not interested in amicable resolution. ******************** advertisements have been produced and shipped to their host golf courses with his approved artwork. It is unfortunate, but not a surprise in today's society, that he does not care that the jobs were completed. Hopefully as his business experience continues, he does not experience an unreasonable customer making demands and threats until they are placated. We consider this complaint closed.
