    For the last year Portland Homes and Commercial Properties have been over charging me and other tenants on their water and sewer billing. They claim the amount billed is calculated by how many people live your apartment not by an individual meter because that is not an available option. Initially they went through a company named ********** who did the billing for the water and sewer but apparently there was an issue and the management company decided to take on the billing themselves. Since this change my water and sewer has increased 3 to 5 times the amount. I have asked for a year now for this issue to be looked into but instead I have been ignored and called a liar. I have requested a meeting so I can be shown how they calculate my **** but again I am being ignored. I have tried everything I can think of in regards to communication but I continue to be ignored. If I call the office it goes to voicemail. I leave a message and request a call back but they never call back. I have done the same with the landlord as he himself told me not to bother talking to anyone in the office because it is a waste of time but I leave a message and request a call back and get nothing. My **** in *** was $151.00 for one month. That is for two people. Months before this it has been anywhere from $100.00 to $130.00 while other tenants are paying a lot less for their apartment with 3 or 5 people. My current **** is $97.82. My sister lives in the same complex. She has two on her rental agreement as well and her **** is just a little over $30.00 for both sewer and water. I have brought this to their attention and they say they will make the adjustments, but never do. I have paid every month until this month I decided I will no longer pay the water and sewer until adjustments have been made. It has been a year now with no resolve or even an attempt to do so. I am frustrated and exhausted! I want to seek legal help but I am not sure which way to turn. Discrimination at its finest!
