I am dissatisfied with this company. I had a great experience with them the first time I had purchased about 4 years ago. My dryer broke and is beyond repair as the parts are rare and super expensive. I called Almonte Appliances on 2/15/23 and spoke to the owner's wife. I told her about my situation regarding my previous purchase with them and the service they provided me with. She told me to take measurements of my basement and so I did. I went to Almonte Appliances on 2/22/23 and spoke to the owner and his wife. I told the owner again of the previous purchase and the service he provided to me. I showed him pictures of the measurements of my basement (which was 24") and picture of the dryer I previously purchased from him. He told me that I probably took the measurement wrong, but my picture shows the actual measuring tape of me holding it from wall to wall. He gave me two options of dryers to select from, both of which were flat backs that were over 24" He told me those two would fit down my basement, which I ended up purchasing one. Two of their workers who are not English speaking came to my home and started to measure my door, basement and the dryer that I previously purchased. A few minutes later I received a call from the owner, and he said that he cannot give me the dryer because it will not fit in my basement. I explain to him that, that's the reason why I took measurements and pictures of my basement and the dryer, so we do not have a misunderstanding. He proceeded to tell me that he has to think about refunding my money (I paid $323.30 for the dryer including taxes and delivery). Owner is super unprofessional and ill-mannered. If I can give this company a -100,000,000 star review, I would select that star.
