Initially, the outpatient services were fine, however the decision making process regarding my treatment and what I believe to be the best course of action for my treatment was quickly disregarded and swept under the rug. I started out with their standard services, in as it's a methadone clinic. I also had mentioned off the bat that I wanted to be on buprenorphine. Well it was put off and put off, my concerns were disregarded and I was told my concerns were in my head. I finally put my foot down and the team found it medically appropriate to have me go to another Pinnacle location in Colombus, OH. Now this whole situation was another nightmare in it's own! I went with the doctors orders being that of, have patient gradually weaned off of methadone and then induced on buprenorphine. As that was the whole point of me going to this detox. When talking to them on the phone, they were great! They told me that they could help, and they checked on me every day until I got there. Upon arrival, right away when meeting the nurse, she tells me that they cannot wean me off the methadone and that it is a 28 day program, and not the 14 days like my doctor at home clinic told me id be doing. So I was lied to and promised something that was never fulfilled, and no intention of either. 9 days in, I chose to go home. I stopped going to my home clinic and started to detox myself from home. When I did this, I had counselors texting my phone, trying to get me to come back. I told them I would if I could do buprenorphine, and not have to go daily like a methadone patient. I was told yes to both and of course, lied to again.. I had not allowed to have any take homes and I have been at target for petty rules and ridiculed because of patients that sometimes ride with me, we were both at target of "random" drug screens just the next day of showing up together and treated differently than the rest of the patients there.
