Hi BBB, My Name is *************************************. I live in ****************************, Malvern, PA, ********. I contracted with M&S Deck Pros to build my decking. I have paid all the contracted amount plus an additional amount of 450 Dollars to them. However, they have a lot of incomplete work. I have contacted them several times. I have contacted ******** at her cell number at ************ I have contacted ***** at his cell number at ************ I have contacted their sub contractor **** at ************ None of them have picked up the phone till now. I have literally tried 50 times and there has not been any response. I have sent them text messages and there is no response. I have also emailed them at ********************************* there there has been no reply or response. There are several issues with the decking. They are not yet fixed. They promised a 10 year warranty but there are issues immediately after finishing it and they are not responding and I really need your help to complete this. They cheated me and took all the money in advance and now they are not responding. The following are the issues. 1) The deck Lighting is not working. Several follow ups made and no response at all. 2) The carpenters broke the vinyl siding of our house and did not fix it yet. 3) The concrete padding that I paid for is misaligned and needs to get fixed. 4) Power cleaning was not properly completed per the agreeement. 5) The vinyl sidings that have been cut have not been properly sealed from the bottom. I am rejecting this response because:I had to wait a bit to respond to this complaint.
Just because one yells to me or shouts at me in a bossy voice does not mean that they have proved their point. They abolutely have not. This further proves how this company lacks professionalism when dealing with their customers and shows their absolutely dismal customer service.
The whole project was executed in a very sloppy manner However, I do not want to get into the details. I will get to it if I needed to.
Response to question 1: The lights were stealthily fixed after the complaint was made without informing me and when I was not at home. My daughter reported that she saw some one in our premises without our permission. But alas the issue is fixed. They have supposedly installed a new transformer but left it on the deck floor. The previous transformer was installed in the vinyl siding with two screws and these new transformers don’t fit there. Hence they were hastily left on the floor. Who is going to come and hang it back? I am attaching picture 1 for this
Response to the Photos taken in the property: These photos were taken inside our property stealthily very recently without our knowledge after I had employed another contractor to install the fancy stones below my deck. The photos showing the fancy stones below my deck is a proof to this.Those photos were taken without our knowledge. I would absolutely object someone entering our premises without our permission and taking pictures of our house and deck. This is an absolute violation of our privacy.
Carpenters breaking the Vinyl Siding: We bought a brand new house from **** ******** and the vinyl was absolutely not broken. The carpenters broke it while installing the framing for the deck. I have brought this up with them several times in email. No response whatsoever to this. How do they claim it to NOT be their responsibility, when they broke it ? I am attaching picture 2 for this
Power cleaning: The deck was indeed dirty after they finished it. But with this heavy rain, they have been washed clean. Hence I would go easy on that for now.
Inspection: The inspection company failed the inspection at each and every stage. They had to rectify some thing or the other and get their issues corrected before they could clear it. At no stage the inspection did it get all cleared during the first inspection. Hence the facts stated in the email is totally incorrect. If needed, I or the township can give proofs of the same.
Concrete Padding: Per the email response they have stated that the Concrete padding has the stringers sitting on it. But unfortunately the stringers don’t fully sit on it. They installed the Concrete padding even before the steps were installed and hence only half of the final stringer step sits on the concrete. The other half is misaligned and does not sit properly for one set of steps. I am attaching picture 3 for this. Concrete contractor Luis promised he would fix it and even left a few bags of concrete. But he never showed up.
The last statement is demeaning and discriminatory. They cannot just show up ring the bell and ask for money. We have work to do earn our bread. Once they showed up at 10 pm totally drunk and demanded money and we have proof of that. I am not going to get into more details at this time.
We definitely DO not want them to any EXTRA work for us.We will not be hiring them either. They must learn to do their work properly and sicerely that’s all.
Also, They need to understand that, we did not reach out to BBB just out of the air. We reached out because several of our phone calls and emails were not responded in a proper manner and in a proper fashion.Overall the response received lacks truth and needs to get discreditted. Thanks BBB for stepping up to help your customers. Thanks BBB for all the help and support you have rendered till date.
