Had them come out for an estimate for a full system replacement. The price tag was high ($12000 vs $8500 from another company) and when I told him I was waiting for another estimate and wouldnt agree right then and there I got a weird look and was told that he was surprised that any good company couldnt give me a price on the spot. Later he sent me a text asking if I got the price. I told him I did and it was lower, I also said that somone from our kids school had a parent with a company and if it was a reasonable price we would likely give him our business. The response was almost childish. He said you get what you pay for and its not a plug and play job, hopefully the corners being cut dont compromise the life of the system as Ive seen that many times. Rather than trying to earn our business Christian decided it would be better to trash talk their competition. Really scummy sales tactics. They may do great work, but its at a high cost and due to their sales I would certainly not recommend them. There are countless other hvac options, find someone small and local and support them instead.Christian Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical LLC Response

Hello **********************,Thanks for taking time to write about your interaction with one of our Comfort Advisors. We're disappointed to hear that you felt the visit was unsatisfactory for you. If we understand your complaint correctly, you are calling out two issues - our price competitiveness and the response of our Comfort Advisor when he was advised that you were waiting for a 2nd estimate. Our team works diligently to provide the best information and optimal home comfort solutions for our homeowners. Since 1989, the high levels of service that we provide to our customers have allowed us to continually grow our business in ************. We couldn't do this if our pricing was out of line with other providers. So while we can't defend our quote without seeing the specifics of a competitor's quote, we would expect to be highly competitive for the exact same equipment and installation. If there is a $3,500 price difference, that usually implies that the systems and installation requirements are not the same. We're sorry if you felt that our Comfort Advisor's response was out of sync with your expectations. We always advise our customers when receiving a competitive quote to make sure that any company can provide a thorough and comprehensive installation. We often tell customers that aside from the brand name of the equipment, the leading factor in system durability and reliability is the expertise of the technical team installing the new system. We hope this didn't come off as 'childish' - and apologize if it did - but we are routinely called to inspect systems installed by other providers which weren't installed properly and are causing premature breakdowns and compromising system longevity. We don't engage in high-pressure sales tactics but do ensure that each of our homeowners has as much knowledge about the investment in a brand new home comfort system as possible. It is a long-term investment for our homeowners and we want to respect their choice by providing whatever information is needed to help make an informed decision.Review from Dorothy T

Have you seen the commercial on morning TV showing a child throwing plastic toy figures - super heroes - down a toilet and flushing with glee. Horrific - based on the commercial I would never hire them. The commercial is irresponsible - showing children how to misbehave to benefit their business.Christian Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical LLC Response

******************, We feel horrible that you misread our intentions. Our commercial was never meant to be offensive. We tried to use humor to highlight that sometimes, things happen with plumbing systems that need our help. We appreciate that you didn't feel the spot was funny, but at no time would we ever show intentional misbehaviors to benefit our business. We've been operating in ************ and the greater ************ region since 1989, and our long-history of serving our customers is due to our expert technicians, wonderful support staff, and our customer-first mentality in everything we do.But to show our sensitivity to anyone like yourself who may have misinterpreted our intentions, we pulled that commercial from our rotation, and we apologize for any upset it may have caused you personally.Review from TedjN

MoreVent/Gold star installed a new Heat Pump 15 Dec 2023. Installation done very professionally. Within days issues occurred. Every time they responded in a timely manner. Both schedulers and tech eager to resolve issues. With both sides frustrated Manger Mike B. and tech John solved the issues (BTU conversion from gas to electric). To my understanding govt standards applied to heat pumps totally unrealistic. Even the themostat was set to unrealistic govt standards. Customer comfort is paramount. Problem resolved! Ted N. Mt. ********, Thank you for your wonderful comments. We stand behind every service and installation we provide to our homeowners. Every once in a while, things don't go as planned. But we believe in standing behind our work and will do whatever it takes to ensure that our customers are happy with our response.Review from Pam D

Christian installed my HVAC unit and my parents. We used them for years. My 91 year old's mother's 5 year old unit did not go right on. I changed the filter and reset the system and it worked fine. I noticed a yellow light that had previously been blinking. I called Christian and talked to 2 different people. They said they could not tell me and a tech had to look at it. Tech came out. I got a nasty lecture that the air conditioner should have been replaced when my parents replaced the heater. Then he told me the yellow light means system is fine. Parents had a second unit 17 years old. Tech launched into another lecture that the unit will not last this season. Currently, it is and has been working fine. I told him my unit was 23 years old and he told me that was dangerous and could leak carbon monoxide even tho I had it serviced a month ago ( not by Christian) and the tech said it was fine. I realized this guy was just trying to upsell me. The bill was $288. To tell me the yellow light was fine and a lecture. He did nothing. Bill was $109.00 to come out and $179.00 for miscellaneous???? I feel Christian ripped me off. Christian, you suck and I am going to tell everyone in the neighborhood and beyond about your scam.!Review from Christian W

After $20,000 of charges and a HVAC system that is zero percent better than what I had before I started dealing with MoreVent, I finally had enough of them ripping me off and will no longer do business with this shady company. I contacted MoreVent to assist with an HVAC issue on our house we just purchased. MoreVent had good reviews, so I gave them a try. Our house has issues with several bedrooms and a living room that are not heated or cooled properly and we wanted to rectify this situation. Chris from MoreVent came to our house, conducted a survey and concluded our return line ducts were inadequate and they should be resized. Also required was a new evap coil since the original was not installed properly. MoreVent did the work at a cost of $12,000. The work they did had zero effect on controlling the temperatures in the problem rooms. Zero! In addition to not fixing the issue, the newly installed equipment was defective causing more service calls and additional time without a functioning HVAC unit. During this period they charged me another $1500 for malfunctions they caused. Next, they tell me the ongoing problems are occurring because the parts they installed were not properly compatible with the existing system and the only way to move forward is to install a new heat pump system. Now they want another $7000. Ridiculous to have to pay for all this new work when the prior work they did made things worse, not better. After many phone calls with customer service. sales, and text exchanges with the company owner Marco Giancroce we worked out a deal to install the new heat pump at a discount. Most recently a sensor failed requiring replacement. The new part was covered under warranty, but the labor was not. The install of the sensor took the tech 10 minutes to install. For this 10 minutes of labor, they charged me $183. This works out to $1098 per hour for labor costs. Regardless of this outrageous cost, the company would not budge on the charge.Christian Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical LLC Response

For over 10 years I had Christian Heating and Air service my HVAC. I no longer trust this company because when my AC system recently died, they OVERCHARGED to replace the capacitor on the condenser. The technician told me the cost for the capacitor is $501. I reacted saying, “Wow, that’s a lot!” .. then he explained how “prices have gone up”. Because it was a hot day and the technician was standing there ready to work, I agreed to have the work done. A couple days later, I saw online that the capacitor (same exact universal capacitor) is sold at SupplyHouse.com for $93 and Home Depot for $119. Whoa! Imagine that… 10 minutes of diagnosis work and 30 minutes labor to replace a part, and then charging a customer $610 --- $109 + $501. If you consider labor at $150/hour and if the company can get the part for $60, it means I paid a 610 % markup cost for that part. On top of this, they got me thinking of a new system and the salesperson came out the next day giving me an estimate … and if I decide RIGHT NOW/TODAY, they will reduce it by $1,100. What a joke! If it's true that the company has new management, we have to ask .... is the new owner a “Christian” ?? David (Doylestown, PA)Review from George S.

On 7/15/22 had Christian Heating replace capacitor in main ac unit. Costs were $99 service charge and $301 part and labor, discounted, for $20 part and 15 minutes labor. Total was $400. This equals well over $800 an hour! My complaint is that I discovered after tech left that part was $20. Called Christian heating to speak to someone about cost. Was told a call back would occur. On 7/18 called to speak to supervisor. Was told he was at meeting. Called 2 hours later told he was unavailable. Received call from Eric, customer service representative, at 1:00 that l could expect call by end of day. Didn't happen. Called today, 7/19 spoke to Eric who after I was placed on hold relayed message from supervisor that cost was fixed at $301 to replace part. Can't replace part unless tech shows up which cost $99 plus $301 for total of $400. We had them install a separate ductless system 2 years ago at a cost of over $6500 and replace an air handler motor for $671 labor. So we have done business in the past, but the lack of response and high charge this time is a warning to potential customers. It is not the same ownership. I wish I had read reviews. Angie's list and Yelp are filled with complaints over the past two years about same issues. How do they have a high rating?Review from Charles C

Terrible customer service, service technician was ignorant and not very good with explanation, They make there prices up as they go along, so I had my system installed by comfort control who sold out to Christian, had a problem with warm air system under parts warranty. Scheduled them to look at woman explained 109 diagnostic fee part was covered and whatever labor was involved I'd have to pay asked her what there hourly labor rate was she told me 120 Dollars, I agreed they came out and checked problem technician called me saying the capacitor was no good and he had it on site and total cost to me was 420 dollars I was like huh, went ahead and asked him what the charges were for he just kept saying that's the cost I can move on if you don't want work done I asked him how long was it gonna take and what he was doing he again was vague saying its 15 minutes to put in I said we'll how do you know the compressor or motor is ok and didn't overcharge over heat etc causing capacitor to burn out he then said oh I'm gonna check it but the capacitor cost ex amount of dollars I again said this doesn't make any sense 109 dollars for diagnostic and tops 1 hrs for installation and testing your telling me 300 plus more, so spoke to service Mgr about this again he was very vague nit giving me direct price all over the place with cost saying he is gonna try to give me a discount I'm like your not giving me a discount at all I don't mind paying your diagnostic fee and 1 hour labor which was more then sufficient but I'm not paying for a part that should be warranty he was saying well the mfgr might not accept warranty claim this that we have to get payed for filing the claim and all this other garbage low and behold final cost to me was 280 dollars I still feel raped by this company beware of them they make prices up as they go along trying to substantiate the prices not once could they give me a direct cost to anything crooks
