I purchased a great LOOKING Cadillac Escalade from this dealer in April 2019. In September 2019 the car was taken to Pep Boys after a service stabilitrak warning appeared on it. Pep Boys suggested that I got a tune up and it addressed the service stabilitrak issue. Notes on the service order did mentioned a burnt spark plug. I believe it was on cylinder 6 and or 8. In June 2020 the service stabilitrak error appeared again. I took the car to the Cadillac dealer at Pep Boy's request and a coil pack or two were replaced on it. Driving the vehicle locally there didn't seem to be an issue but on each road trip I've taken the service stabilitrak warning would appear like flashing off and on. Due to COVID I haven't really been traveling and doing road trips etc. Returning home from a 300 (round trip) road trip in November 2021 the service stabilitrak message reappeared but this time the error stayed on my warning screen opposed to the flashing it did a few times prior. An engine speciailist service shop suggested that the engine was torn down to find the underlying issue with the vehicle. It has been determined the cause of the service stabiltrak error (code prompts service service to repair coils and or do a tune up) was carbon caused build up from long term oil consumption causing the valve on cylinder stick and break recently. The photos provided by the inspection documented multiple photos showing burnt oil on multiple cylinder heads including heavy burnt oil on cylinder 8. Additional photos showed the #6 valve removed with a chunk missing. Black residue could be seen in the valve opening, around the edges of the valve and in the chamber the valve sits consistent with an engine consumption issue causing carbon build up. Since I purchased this vehicle it's been WELL MAINTAINED by me (and I have my maintenance records for synthetic oil changes, and other fluid replacements,etc) per the engine specialists there is no way your shop didn't know there were underlying issues with this vehicle when it was sold to me. That's terrible that you'd sell a vehicle to hard working people only to have it break down on them so severely. Engine repairs being done now on the vehicle will cost me between $2000-3000. I wanted to post this review so others will know what they could be getting into by purchasing higher end and or luxury vehicles from your lot. There should be a zero star rating for this dealer.
