Be very wary of Shiloh Roofing. I went under two roofing contracts with Shiloh Roofing in August 2022 and they sent in another company to do the work instead. This outsourced company was comprised of undocumented, unlicensed, illegal contractors with no insurance and no worker's comp. They did not have any formal training. I asked the outsourced workers for their license, insurance and worker's comp and they eventually admitted they have none of these documents or certifications. This is dangerous to the consumer as, if one of these illegal contractors get injured on your property, you are responsible for paying 100% of their medical bills. Once I confronted Shiloh Roofing, they admitted they outsourced the job and then said they would cancel the project. When I offered to meet at their office to discuss a resolution, they had their attorney send out a "No Trespass" notice. It turns out, their attorney is a relative of the family. So ... that was an interesting experience. The one good thing was that Shiloh Roofing sent me my two deposits back from our contracts. If you decide to deal with Shiloh Roofing, make sure you put a clause in your contract that the work must *not* be outsourced and must be done by actual Shiloh employees, who are licensed, insured roofers with worker's comp so you can protect your finances. Roofing is a very dangerous job and the chances of a roofer getting injured on the job are high. My experience with Shiloh Roofing was very bad. My entire roofing contracts were under $12,000. Perhaps Shiloh Roofing will use their own employees on jobs higher than $12,000. Just be very very careful.

I contracted with Mr. S******* as the representative of his mother to replacement her roof on a rental unit (although Mr. S******* did incorrectly identify himself as the owner of the property). Standard practice for my business, which is standard in the residential roofing industry, is to subcontract my work to various roofing crews. They are all independent contracting crews which I pay a per sq. ft. price. I never have, nor would I, misrepresent clients to make them think that this is not the structure of my business. I never told Mr. S******* this was not the case, but I don’t think the question ever came up either. As soon as Mr. S******* arrived on the job, he complained about “illegal Mexicans” doing the work, and was concerned about insurance matters. This despite the fact that my business, which is the only party with whom he contracted, is fully insured per all HICA requirements. My inclination is that Mr. S******* was more concerned with the roofing crews’ ethnicity, as he stated in numerous text messages that “me and my business are what is wrong with America”. Mr. S******* immediately sought a return to for mother’s deposit, which I immediately processed the morning of the issue. Despite this, Mr. S******* sent me over 50 text messages of an incredibly unprofessional and threatening nature, one going so far as to personally question my gender. It was not until I got the police and my attorney involved that Mr. S******* tried to take a more civil tone. Had I known the character of the person I was dealing with from the start, I never would have agreed to do any work for him, an I refuse to ever contract with him again. He is the first, and to date only, individual have had any similar issue with, and the majority of his comments regarded the ethnicity of one of my subcontracted roofing crews.
