I was born and raised in ********. My hometown and I love it but man living in **, theres such a distinct difference between the two. Black people really have to remember being in a customer service role does not only apply to satisfying white consumers because like I checked, the dollar is still green. I went to check in today and one gentleman was ahead of me and wrapping up his check in. Another gentleman came from outside and jumped right in front of me, he pulled his credit/debit card out and his license. I said out loud wait he doesnt see me standing here and my son said, well he looked right at us. So Im thinking, the receptionist will at least address this by STATING Im sorry, they are together and/or since you were in line Ill just take you.Nope. So I said, maam I was standing here to check in and her response was, theyre together as my 10 year old son, who seems to have more manners in public stated.if you are not in line once it moves than you start at the back. Im assuming the lady that was dressed slightly better was the manager and she looked at the gentleman and said Im sorry sir.so with that statement you are saying that my money was not any good there and youre target audience was him and not me. She again stated they were together and I said well then why is he in line and that would mean he has been checked in with his partyagain she said they came in together and he just stepped out. ****, stepped out of line, therefore he shouldve gotten behind me but no worries ill keep my black dollars and go elsewhere where. Sadly, my boyfriend and a close friend frequent this hotel when they are in town and apart of the *** rewards program but after I told them the situation they are also incline to not go again. Unfortunately, ******** is stuck somewhere between ****s and ****s and it shows through African American locals who work customer service but Ill continue to call it out and make sure black dollars arent spent there.
