              I rented a room in ******* ******* from Ms. ******* ****** (Landlord) on 10/08/24 at address ***********************************. It was a month-to-month contract agreement. I made an initial deposit of $400.00 via Zelle payment on September 23rd, 2024. I also made another Zelle payment for Octobers rent in the amount of $ ****** on October 1st, 2024.However, I was only there for 7 days before having to leave earlier than expected due to work accommodation reasons. I moved out of the unit on October 15th at 4:30 AM. I informed Ms. ****** the previous day that I would be giving up the room due to work related reasons.According to the rental agreement, Ms. ****** would return my initial deposit 15 days after leaving the unit. It has been 16 days as of today October 30th, 2024, and I have not received my refundable deposit. I have tried calling, texting and emailing Ms. ****** several times for an update on my refundable deposit without any response from her.

              **Buyer beware** Furnished finders operates using highly predatory subscription practices. Once you purchase a subscription, they will automatically sign your account up for autorenewal. They will claim that they have sent reminder emails regarding an upcoming subscription charge. This is inaccurate. When asked for the dates of these correspondence, they will send you arbitrary time stamps however these emails do not exist. ** will also increase the annual subscription rate without your knowledge or consent violating consumer protection laws. It is nearly impossible to speak to a representative or get a supervisor on the phone and when you do, "*****" will forget that this is the name she told you and will be very sorry however under no circumstances do they issue refunds.

              We have records of this emails sent. The subject is: "Important Information About Your Upcoming Renewal," and at the bottom of the message, we informed you, "Your listing is set to renew shortly." This reminders were sent on 9/30/2024 at  7:00:27 AM and also on 10/1/2024 7:01:54 AM
