I purchased a real estate course from them because they claimed to have a reimbursement program, which I confirmed with them via email. When I was looking to buy from them they respond to all my emails right away, but now that I am contacting them explaining my situation nobody responds. I have left voicemails to their phone number, I have emailed many many times and no one responds. It has been almost a year since I haven't heard back from them. It feels like a scam. After I purchased my course, I found out that I was moving overseas due to my work and could not complete my real estate career in *******, where I lived at the time. I communicated this to the ** Shop (course owners) and they acknowledged my situation. I was in alignment with their refund policy as I hadn't completed more than 10% of the course, the course was not expired, and it had only been around 30 days since my purchase date. The ** Shop handled my situation with care and tried to refund me but explained that they weren't able to because I purchased their course through Agent Advice. This was a very expensive purchase for me over $400 and the only reason I bought in the first place was because I thought it would be reimbursed in the long wrong.. ************ is completely unresponsive, they don't answer their phone or their emails so there is absolutely no way to get a hold of them. I just want my money back.

      AgentAdvice.com Response

      06/27/2023

AgentAdvice.com offers a 30 day money-back guarantee on all ** Shop courses we sell. ******************************** purchased the course from us on 8/5/2022. To qualify for the refund, ****** would have only had to call, email, or text us (yes, we make it really easy) her request to cancel & refund her purchase by 9/5/2022. Unfortunately, ****** didn't request a refund until 9/13/2022, and that's 38 days. If this BBB response tool allowed it, I would upload screenshots with timestamps on the cancellation emails. It's very unfortunate that ****** didn't request the cancellation 8 days sooner. We give refunds all the time to people who cancel within 30 days, and we would have been happy to refund her purchase as well. When our customers request and receive a refund from us within 30 days, we also request and receive a refund from the ** Shop within the same 30 day window...the courses aren't free for us. The ** Shop course costs us almost as much as well sell it for, so if we refund anyone after 30 days, we would just have to eat the cost of the course ourselves. It still costs us, which is why we stick with the 30 day refund policy. After 30 days, we're on the hook to pay too. There was and still is another option for ****** - she can finish the course, pass the state exam, and interview with us for a job, and we'll still refund the $429 cost of the ** Shop course. I don't think our real estate team wants to hire ****** after all this (she probably feels the same), but we'll still honor the tuition reimbursement refund if she finishes the course, passes the state and national exam, and attends an interview with one of our recruiters. That was and still is the primary offer on our site. We offer tuition reimbursement for anyone who finishes the state course, and passes the state and national licensing exams, and interviews with us. It's a heck of a deal, and if you visit our ************ (**********************************************************************), you can watch several video testimonials of people who completed the course, became realtors and got the course cost refunded in return for interviewing for a job with us. We offer tuition reimbursement for real estate school & give refunds to licensed agents every week. So despite this complaint, we're still happy to hold up our end of the tuition reimbursement refund with ******. She still has about 6 weeks to complete the course, which is very doable. Then let us know when you pass the exams. We'll confirm your agent status and get your interview scheduled & follow through with a refund on the course. If that's no longer something ****** is interested in, then I'm still sorry that this didn't work out for her and wish her well, but we're really clear on our terms of service that it's a 30 day no questions refund, not 38 days. If we ate the cost of ******'s course (and others who ask for a refund after 30 days), then our finance team would raise our course prices for other students who are following the rules just to pay for customers who don't cancel in time and complain that it's not their fault. That would just be rewarding complainers and punishing our customers, students, and prospective agents who are thoughtfully following through with guidelines we both agreed to in the purchase.
