DO NOT USE HIM UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY INFLATED COSTS.
March 6, 2022
I had an issue with my Trane heating system at the end of 2021. I had heat, I could turn my unit off; however, the fan continued to run.
February 2022, I called We Fix It Air Conditioning & Heating and inquired about their service and how much the trip charge would be. I was told that there would be an $85 trip charge, but if they fixed the issue the $85 trip charge would be waived.
Mr. D***********. came to my home in February 8th. His diagnosis was that my heating system needed a PCB power board. I would owe him $185.00 plus the cost of the part and for him to pick up the part if he fixed the issue.
He said that I owed him $125.00 on that day. Since the $85 trip charge would be waived if I had him change the part and he didn't know at the time if he would fix the issue the $85 trip charge was part of the $125 that I paid him that day.
The invoice/statement read as: Heater / Furnace - Furnace Service Call$125.00.
The price and the lack of itemized costs concerned me and I made several calls to other HVAC companies and found that We Fix It pricing was out of line with other companies. However, I found this out too late, I had already paid Mr. D**********. $125.00.
I questioned the pricing because Mr. D**********. said that the $85 trip charge would be waived if the company did the work, but it didn't look as though that was the case. I was never given itemized charges. Mr. D**********. called me to tell me to look at the pricing as though it was a total of $270 and that he had taken the $85 trip charge out of the pricing.
Mr. D**********. called me later to tell me that the part costed $100.00 plus tax plus him going to get the part. I now know that Mr. D******* overcharged me for a TRANE part ********. This part is sold by businesses on various websites for $50 at the most.
Mr. D**********. changed out the part on March 2, 2022. When I questioned hi
