In Nov. 2020 we signed a contract with Hills of ** Homes to build our home. In that contract, we were told **** of ** Homes had come to the final price based on a high level of quality, materials, fit and finish. This set expectations. The build was pushed back 2x and we finally moved in March 2022. During the build time, we hired a 3rd party inspector 3x at different stages. That inspector found numerous items outside of code and in need of redoing. The reports were provided to Hills of ** Homes and we were informed all punchlist items would be completed within 30 days after move in. 1. Punchlist not completed and additional issues found.2. No response on numerous occasions from Hills of ** or simply a brief text stating issues were 'normal'. Some cases we were told it was something we did.3. Hills of ** was paid in full shortly after closing and we were told all issues would be resolved but haven't. 4. Gaps in framework causing animals and dead carcuses to rot in walls.5. Lack of insulation where pipes and lines not protected.6. Main doors to outside not flush and have gaps.7. Missing materials that were listed to be in home but Hills of ** stating they didn't include them on invoices so we don't get them (IE: door)8. Incorrect design as to where rather than Hills correcting it they do bandaid fixes creating additional fit and finish issues and compromising the integrity and value of home (of which they will not take responsibility for.)Hills of ** Homes said they are hands on and would be onsite frequently to jobsite during build to supervise. After visiting our home every few days and checking our cameras we installed, there were only rare occasions when they were there, thus trades were not supervised and did not do many jobs correctly (moved in to find parts of home not even painted, missing firebrick from fireplace, fixtures installed incorrectly, etc).I want my house fixed RIGHT, to code, at Hills' expense ASAP!
