On June 24, 2024, we entered into a contract via email and made a wire transfer of $2500 as per the agreement for the deposit on the fabrication and installation of the awning. We were told by the sales person, ****, that the awning could be installed by the end of August. Unfortunately we did not receive the specifications from Georgetown Awnings until July 17, and so we could not apply for a City permit until that date. The permit was rejected on Aug 12 because the depth was not to code (which feels like something an awning company should have known about), and I communicated that via text and email on Aug 13. On Aug 16, **** said it would be "no problem" to adjust the awning depth and that it would take "another 2-3 weeks and we'll have this installed for sure." *********** agreed to make these changes at no cost. I have struggled to communicate with this company since that time, calling and emailing over and over again. Finally spoke with someone who identified himself as one of the owners on Sept 24 and was told installation would occur the next week. No one called and no one showed to install. I have since called and emailed repeatedly and can get no answers. However I did leave a ****** review and someone managed to respond to that, but still no one has contacted me regarding the failure to install this awning as scheduled. I sent a final email on Oct ***************************** even basic information on this job and have gotten no response. This company has no answering machine and rarely does someone answer the phone, and it is never the same person. I find it unconscionable to take deposit on a job and then refuse to update the customer, but even worse to say that installation is scheduled and then have no further contact. I am reachable by email, phone, and text, so this is beyond all understanding. I should not have to chase a company for answers about a contacted job.
