My experience with the wedding dress preservation service provided through David's Bridal and Memories Gown Preservation has been exceptionally disappointing and stressful. Initially, I was reassured by David's Bridal, that my dress would be handled with care. I entrusted them with my wedding dress and veil for cleaning and preservation, trusting their process as explained by their manager. Unfortunately, the service fell far short of expectations. Despite being promised updates and tracking information, I received nothing. Attempts to contact both David's Bridal and the third-party company, ******** **** ************, proved futile. I was given misleading timelines and experienced a lack of communication that left me feeling anxious and frustrated. The most troubling aspect was the poor customer service. When I finally managed to speak with someone from Memories Gown Preservation, their response was dismissive, unhelpful, and unprofessional. They attributed the delays to a hurricane, yet the lack of communication started well before this event. After over two months of waiting, I received my dress back, and it was evident that it had not been cleaned properly—the train still had pine needles from my wedding day. Additionally, the veil was poorly packed. This lack of care and professionalism throughout the process was deeply disappointing. They also informed me after 2 months, my dress wouldn’t fit in their preservation box. Why wouldn’t you see that when you first got the gown? So I received my “clean” dress in a garment bag and a large cardboard shipping box. Leaving me to start from square one. Overall, the experience was marred by poor communication, inadequate customer service, and unsatisfactory preservation work. I would advise others to seek alternative preservation services and be wary of relying on third-party providers without proper oversight. Memories Gown Preservation needs significant improvements in their customer service and operational processes.
