“Eva’s Garden Outdoor Services” is NOT a company I would recommend because it cannot be depended on to finish a project and their crew was anything but enthusiastic about working when supervision was not around. The first day they were more than 3 hours late, so I called the owner and asked if they were going to work that day or not and why I didn’t get a phone call advising me about any problems he might be having. He said they noticed a broken hydraulic line while loading the jackhammer, so they had to build a new one. I said that I understand mechanical failures, but I didn’t understand not making me aware of the problem. Shortly after demolition started, the owner left the crew. No sooner had the owner left, the crew stopped working, the operator leaned bake with his hat over his face as though to take a nap. With my frustration with the day's events being heightened, I went out and asked if the machine had broken again. They indicated that it was not and shortly after started demolition again. The owner returned and took the dumpster of concrete to wherever he unloads it and returned about 3:00pm, picked up his crew and left for the day. The second day they were about 2 hours late with no explanation and continued to do the demolition until midafternoon. Later that evening I received a text from the owner stating that because I had been rude to his crew that it was best that he “resign” the contract and for me to find another contractor to finish the job. My wife had set out brownies for the crew both days, so other than asking questions that any client would need to ask, I don’t see how we had been rude to his crew. The next day I met the owner after explaining the work ethic of his crew and he did refund the balance of the contract minus the demolition cost. Fortunately, I was able to find a qualified and dependable contractor who has done an excellent job, even completing the portion of the demolition the original contractor failed to do.

Mr *******, We apologize for any inconvenience caused. However I´d like to describe the facts as it really happened: 1.- according with our contract, the starting date should have been on Wednesday May 15th. Due to the bad weather one of our customer decided to push back his project one week more and we decided to call you Tuesday morning about 8am to ask you if would you want us to start your project the same day of Tuesday instead of wednesday. So you called me back with your approval. Therefore, we had to prepare all our equipment, tools, machinaty, etc. to start the project. Technicaly we had one day or half day advanced. On other hand, as I know, you were not paying us by hour, but for a complete project. We were not your subcontactors, but a company to fulfill a project and the ESTIMATED time of accomplished was about 3 days...IF the weather permits. The problem here was that you had the feeling we were your subcontractors and tried to monitor also the time we wanted to go to the restroom. You counted how many times our guys took a bottle of water and went to the portable potty or if a technical inconvenience happened. 2.- Our workers reported that ms Pringle was very rude with them asking them why they were not working in my abscene. And the answer is simply. and this is for all the ones reading this response: We spend one day to break all the concrete driveway, th second day was to haul it off. So basically, all that we have to do is use our skid to load out dump trailer and the dirver had to dump the debris and come back for another load and so on. All Our crew had to do is to make sure the existing sidewalk and grass was not damaged with the concrete debris. The rest of the task had to be done by the skid steer. So they have to wait until the dump trailer come back for the next load. Regarding, our " Time Off" ( we didnt know we had to report 10 hours labor). remeber the first day we dedicated it to break the concrete and the concrete disposal centers close around 4pm. So we wouldnt have enough time to dump the first load. So we decided to start the next day with the hauling off. After mrs Pringle was yelling to our guys, we decided to not continue with our cotract. Rregarding the cookies, we appreciate your kidness, but per our contract, we dont accept any type of tip or gratification to our workers. Our point of view is that you had the perception that we were your SUBcontractors with a dead line date, with working hours to accomplish and a check in and check out employees card. Which in our contact wemnever estipulated we were going to be paid by our. as we said, we apogize for any inconvenience this may caused.

Ivan and his crew damaged my home during recent concrete patio construction. First the stamp job they did is very uneven. Ivan made several excuses why that happened. During construction they took down my gate, and tried to reinstalled it. They didn’t reinstall the gate correctly, broke the hinge post, put that broken post back into the ground. All this without any communication at all. They also broke a piece of my siding, which he promised to fix. Ivan even went as far as to obtain the paint code from the bucket of paint that was left after our recent paint job. This all could have been avoided if Ivan had followed the directions we discussed during our 1st and 2nd consult. I asked him to move the concrete through the other side of my house which had plenty of clearance and only fence panels, no gate. I’m very disappointed in the results, Ivan’s deception, and now the lack of communication. We have been ghosted by Eva’s Outdoor Services.

Hi Tim, receive our sincere apologies for the inconvenience of this miscommunication. Per our first meetings we discussed about the importance of understanding about the imperfections of the stamped concrete. We explained how it works and the possibility of having non structural cracks, esthetical rough areas of the stamped concrete, some small sinking spots due to the process of the stamping. We also about to going instead with a Pavers option which is more detailed and 1 year warranty. However, per our conversation the pavers option was all the way out of the budget. So you agreed to go ahead with stamped concrete knowing about all these imperfections. A. Regarding the wood fence gate, we decided to take that gate off instead of the other side of the house for these reasons: 1.- in order to get our minibuggy into the back yard we had to remove either one side of the wooded fence. 2.- Being said that, The wood fence gate was the best option since the pickets and the infrastructure was very rotted and the 4x4 post didn’t even had concrete base at the bottom and almost falling apart by itself (we have the pictures and videos we took before staring the project). 3.- And on the other side of the house, the fence panel was in a very good condition. So, The probability to damage the other side was higher. So it was pretty easy to take it off put it back. When we put it back we also put concrete base to the 4x4 post. Your complain was that you had plans for that fence gate and that the pickets were nor aligned, but we had to cut the post since the bottom was so rotted that if we had put it back like it was before, the gate would have fallen. This cut made the pickets a bit uneven. Also, at the moment of putting two screws they trespassed two pickets. We offered to replace those two pickets and align the gate. However, you complained that the brand new pickets wont match with the rotted one you already have, so wants us to replace all the pickets and new post, new infrastructure which I exposed our complain about why we should have to replace the entire side of the gate fence when it was rotted, we had to carry on the gate to open or close it and the 4x4 post was falling apart. B. Regarding the siding damage, the part of the house damaged was a small piece of no more than 4 inches of a 1 x 2 cement corner siding which we put it back but you want us to replace all the area. We agreed to fix it and paint it. But not replacing all the entire siding. Also we agreed to meet at your house on an specific day but you wanted to be a home. We set a date but you never confirmed if you were going to be at home that day. After that we had a week of rain and we had to push back the new date and then we must fly out of the country urgently. We are willing to repair all these problems but without replacing the entire areas. After that your message was you didn’t want us to fix it anymore.

This guy Ivan is a scammer. I had a contract with him to extend my breezeway. Paid him 3000 of the cost 45% to start. He poured the concrete slab and had stolen materials delivered to my home to complete the prjoect. He tried to ask for another 2000 and when I refused he refused to finish the contract. You might ask how I know the materials were stolen? He gave me a copy of the quote like he paid for the materials. I called the company and they said the materials had not been paid for and they would not be doing business with Eva's Garden again. Now I'm stuck with the materials shrink wrapped in my driveway. The company said they didn't want it back. I think they might file legal action. So that means he changed me 3000 for a 12x12 concrete slab that another concrete company said was not pour correctly and will settle badly over time and Ivan kept the rest of the money. Now I have to find a company to finish the job which now I am going to be skeptical about because of the way Eva's Garden's Ivan *******.

Mr ****, we understand your madness cause we didnt want to go forward with your project. But as we spoke, your disrespectful behavior against our material supplier is unacceptable and per our policy we decided to stop the project to avoid any further conflict with you. As we discussed, the upfront payment was used to set the concrete patio and the material was dropped on your driveway. The suppliers never deliver material if it?s not paid before and we have their invoice as proof. So sad you have to lie to justify your disrespectful behavior. As we told you we will be glad to discuss it on a count with the material supplier as a witness.

This customer review violated out privacy right by typing my name instead of the company. Also we have all the proof from our suppliers that all the material was full paid.
